"Call today to report somebody selling their medications. Since my sister passed away that way don't know what doctor they have but no the pharmacy. The pharmacist could care less and I called back to say let the doctor know check levels not just present or not again could care less now if I call cvs? Trust and Believe I don't know what doctor even gives a 64-year-old Elsa drugs living in a but this pharmacy needs to get on track or there's going to be more people DYING"
"I have never experienced any issue with this pharmacy and I've been using them for the past 3 years. I can usually get a staff member on the phone when I do call. Also, they process my medications within a timely manner."
"July 4th....on the 3rd the pharmacist in person promised they'd be open on 4th July. I've called and the message says closed. I went there just in case and it's closed. This pharmacy is horrible even being in a number 1 hospital in the usa"
"The mgh automated calling system is so incredibly incorrect and can't be trust. Got a call that something was ready multiple times and took the 30mins to get there only to have them say nothing is ready and then took the 40mins to get home. If the system is that off than stop using it or update it. It is the biggest inconvenience"
"Sadly, all the negative postings regarding this pharmacy are absolutely TRUE! I came to Massachusetts from Washington, DC for chemo and cancer treatments because MGH is said to have the best doctors and provides the best cancer care. And they were right about the care obtained from the doctors. However, they never told me about the pharmacy. The wait times are horrendous! I have experienced times (multiple times) in which my doctor would tell me he was going to send a prescription down for me and I watched him send it. I would go to get my CT and MRI scans done, go get something to eat from the cafeteria before I go to the pharmacy but the prescription (that I NEED TO LIVE) was still not ready 2 hours after the doctor sent it down. No apology. No explanation. Just stand in line for 30-45 minutes just to get up to the counter and be told you have to wait for another hour... It is ridiculous and I'm so surprised that MGH hasn't done something to address this. I can't stand for long periods of time especially after receiving chemo treatments and/or having 10 vials of blood drawn but even if I were in perfect health, that's not the point. The issue is that this is unacceptable and doesn't happen anywhere else in the world. Could you imagine waiting 30-45 minutes in line at a grocery or clothing store just to get to the counter and be told you have to wait another hour before they could ring you up? It's gotten to the point that I have him call down the day before to order my prescriptions in the hopes it'll be ready when I go to pick it up the next day. Sometimes, that doesn't even work because if there is an issue with your insurance they just don't fill the prescription without alerting you so you go all the way to the hospital to pick up your prescription and stand in that long line for nothing. I literally asked the woman that was at the register the last time I was there "why is there always an issue when I come here to get my prescriptions?" She said "I don't know". Dear MGH, Please revamp your entire outpatient pharmacy. Fire and hire. Reconsider and reconfigure. Something seriously needs to be done. When 9 out of 10 of your patients are unhappy with their experience at your pharmacy. The lack of care I experience at your pharmacy is directly affecting my mental and physical health."
