"This initial review is only for the food truck in the parking lot across from the “mother ship,” La Cantina Italian Restaurant. For the restaurant comments please see their listing. The existence of the food truck seems to have been a result of the lockdown phase of the COVID pandemic. The restaurant was able to offer a limited menu during the day, serving customers safely from a mobile unit. The food truck still operates during the day, prior to the main restaurant opening for dinner. The offering includes a range of sandwiches (all meat, no vegetarian), sides and dessert. The food quality is to the standard of the main restaurant (I.e., good). My only observations are as follows: 1) The portion size of the sandwiches is really large —- one order of prime rib sandwich with fries easily feeds 2 people or one person for two meals. The point being that the unit size of lunch doesn’t really need to be that big. 2) The consequence of the large portion is the corresponding price. I’d rather spend $8 on one serving and not spend $16 for double my meal requirement. Perhaps offering a half-portion would make it easier for customers to return regularly. Also, having no vegetarian offering limits the customer base. Some rethinking of the food truck offering (maybe even limited seating) would make next season more interesting."
