"Great food and even better service. Best hot honey fried chicken sandwich I’ve ever had. Smash burger was wonderful. My Kids also love it there."
"1st time here and couldn't be more disappointed. Went with my girlfriend on a relatively slow Wednesday night after hearing mixed reviews. Service was incredibly slow 32 minutes to get a cup of chowder, then a cold dinner that was overpriced and not great. Then we sat another 25+ minutes after finishing dinner with no drink and never saw our waitress again. Had to find another waitress to get the check and pay. Don't waste your time or money. Sun Tavern and Dishes are right up the street."
"For starters, I tried their bao buns, and they were absolutely delicious! The buns were soft and fluffy, and the filling was packed with flavor but only consisted of one small piece of fried chicken thigh meat and about halfway through the bun I had no meat left we had the fish and chips, the fish was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and fresh and one of the better fish and chips we’ve had lately.. We also tried their short rib, and it was melt-in-your-mouth tender. The flavors were rich and savory, and the portion size was good. Service was quick and efficient which was a change from the last couple dining out experiences.. we had a reservation at 5, seated right away and it was busy and had no more available reservations for the night.. Overall, I had a good dining experience at The Blacksmith. The food was good , and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting. If you're ever in Pembroke, I highly recommend checking it out! Enjoy!"
"Nice place, a little loud, table we were at had cold air blowing on it. Did not see a vent near us, not sure where that was coming from. Waitress was very nice, except she forgot my water, had to ask for a second time. She was in training so i will give her that. Drink I ordered was very sweet, not their fault just to sweet for me, they actually offered to only charge us half price for it, but my hubby was drinking it so we declined the offer. Ordered brussel sprouts and deviled eggs stuffed with crabmeat for appetizers. The brussel sprouts were good as long as you ate around the heavy amount of white aioli sauce. Deviled eggs where okay but not your typical deviled eggs. I ordered the blacksmith salad with grilled chicken , came with a champagne vinaigrette but it was soaked, should have asked for it on the side since i am not a huge fan of a lot of dressing, the dressing had a overwhelming taste of basil, really could not eat it, the bacon bits where fatty pieces of bacon, one piece did not looked cooked. I settled for just eating the grillled chicken which was good. On the other hand my hubbys ceasar salad did not have enough dressing, they did happily give him more, he added shrimp to his salad which he said was over seasoned. Guess the chef just has a heavy hand when it comes to seasoning. There was also a lot of brown lettuce stalk in it. Don’t think we will be back."
"Excellent, friendly service! Very interesting vegetarian options, not just the usual boring salads! They have vegetarian samosas and a tasty, Buffalo cauliflower as starters. I combined the two on one plate for my main meal and was able to take home leftovers. For meat lovers, they also have a delicious pasta bolognese and burgers (that’s what my family had). The cocktails are creative, pretty and delicious! We’ll be back! Thanks!"
