"I absolutely love this local cafe and lodging place. Can’t say I’ve slept here but sure will share with family when they visit. I have eaten here a few times and am writing this review because I have found the most noteworthy menu item here - and I ate every bit of it!!! Sooo delicious! The menu is loaded with American fare but also legitimate Greek culinary specialities which are prepared exceptionally well! After dining on the greet meatball pita for brunch today — I’m sold! Coffee was hot, porch inviting and service was excellent! I wasn’t rushed, was greeted warmly and enjoyed the comfort of home dining but outside my home! This was a perfect late morning retreat that will keep my Body — and mind satisfied all day. Do not overlook this gem! ❤️"

"Friendly sevice, nice atmosphere, food could be better (bland lacking any flavor) and left out ingredients from advertised items. Update for owner response- 1. Olive spread on Greek Avacado Toast 2. Pretty sure there was no feta on my Mediterranean panini. If it was it was so little, I couldn't even taste it. Basically, the whole pannini was pretty dry with a little bit of sauce and some tomatoes. Chicken needed some sort of seasoning. Also don't like giving this review as you all were extremely nice and I would love to give a better rating but I'm just being honest in how we felt about our food."

"I am giving this rating a 2 because of the comfy chairs on the balcony, I don’t write reviews because I don’t like negative feedback, however this was the worst breakfast I have ever had! The server wrote my order, came back because he didn’t remember, and then a third time came again and still forgot and our orders and they still were wrong,. The restaurant was not even busy, there were 2-3 tables aside from us. coffee tasted like it was from a jar. Absolutely terrible! we waited over 45 minutes for our food. The service terrible!"

"Edit : Thanks to the owner for replying. I was wrong with the timeline, I thought I waited 35-40 minutes when it was about 20. I guess time moves slower when you’re hungry. I’ll raise the rating a point for caring to reply on their part, thanks! I’ll be frank : I want to give Yiayia’s a higher score because the staff was friendly, there’s a nice view, and you can very clearly tell the food is made from scratch. The burrito and the hash had that taste where you can tell it’s hot off the pan and has lingering flavors from the previous thing that was cooked on it (in the best way!). I waited about 20 minutes for a burrito and hash and there were only 4-5 tables that had people on it. It was a little longer than I’d have liked but the staff was nice. Also, the menu said 11 bucks for the burrito and I was charged 16 and change? I’m assuming the hash was extra since home fries are standard, but all you have to do is say so and you don’t upset a customer. I feel like such a diva writing this review because the staff was all so nice and the food was delicious!"

"This cafe was right across the street for our motel and became my breakfast spot during our trip to Newport. They have great iced coffee and very fresh food. I had multiple meals but would highly recommend the omelet and home fries. The fruit was fresh. Most importantly, the food wasn’t heavy and the staff was accommodating to my allergies. The young waitress was also very nice."
