"Disappointing. I read the review from Sage, a mere 6 days prior, and thought I was in a different store. The place was anything but inviting with cosy seating and tasteful decor. It was dark and dingy with very little seating. Now to the service. The staff were friendly and approachable but as with all outlets these days they have been overwhelmed by the sheer mass of online mobile orders and iced drinks. We waited 20 minutes from entering to leaving with our breakfast (and we were second in the queue on entering!). The mobile orders were stacking up on the counter but nobody was rushing in to collect. Only the staff were rushing around trying to keep up whilst the dribble of in-person customers, myself included, waited patiently for our orders to appear. Please Starbucks, sort this out. It’s not just here, it’s happening everywhere. Sage mentions this place as “a haven for coffee aficionados, a place where quality and community meet”. Well I didn’t see any of that. Just a diverse bunch waiting around whilst the web served the world and his brother first. And after 20 minutes waiting, there would be no community meet-ups. I had places to be. Sorry Starbucks, you need to get the basics right."
