"First of all, Management here is one of the meanest persons that I have ever come across in my almost 70 years of living. On the first day that I moved in, she was extremely verbally abusive to me and screamed and yelled at me. I wanted to turn around and leave immediately, but I had moved here from South Carolina, and the van wasn’t even completely unloaded. Secondly, I am disabled in a wheelchair, and management has denied every single request I have made for help or a special accommodation in the past three years. The manager states that I have to have a letter from my doctor written with very specific wording. However, the law states that if my handicap is known to them, which it is, then they don't have to have a letter. And doctors these days just don't write letters, especially if you're with CCHC. This is DISCRIMINATION! Furthermore, I have been persecuted in many ways, including having a lawsuit filed against me by management because I couldn’t do something that they wanted me to do because I am handicapped, and they refused to help me. Instead, they decided to file a lawsuit against me. I have heard many similar complaints from other residents here. I was even written up by management for something that I never did! That is now in my file and could greatly contribute to my being evicted. Many others live under similar threats of eviction here, unless you are one of the “favorites.” I can cite many more examples of how awful management is here, but there’s just not enough space. They even kept my wheelchair from me at one point. However, the manager feels free to break rules, such as constantly parking in the fire lane right in front of a hydrant! Apartments here are 500 square feet or less. That is extremely tiny, and unless you were previously homeless, you can’t possibly fit your stuff into these tiny apartments. The noise here is absolutely incredible. There is a business nearby that creates all kinds of noise, motorcycles driving by, and then there is the issue of the gardeners being here for extremely long lengths of time with their incredibly noisy commercial lawnmowers, leaf blowers, trimmers, etc. In late 2022 management allowed a tenant to have a very large Great Dane dog. That dog is constantly barking, even in the middle of the night, and management does nothing. Do not move in if you want any kind of privacy, peace, or quiet at all. Part of the problem is that all the walls, floors, and ceilings are made from the thinnest materials possible, and there are no fire walls (that's another problem). They're so thin that you can hear the grunts and groans of your neighbors having sex, along with everything else. There is not enough space to put all of the downsides that there is to living here. One upside is that there is a pond with a dock that you can go out on. Um, I can’t think of any other upside. There is just an incredible amount of problems involved with living here, but there is not enough space to list them all. As you can see, someone in management left me a note below, 3 1/2 years after I started to write this review. However, who wrote me the note? Their name and contact information is missing, so how could I possibly contact someone? This is just typical of FP."
"My mother moved here, three years ago, and she really enjoys it. The property is well-maintained and the grounds are beautiful, especially in the spring with all of the flowers they have planted. My mother is handicapped, and there are plenty of handicap spots near her building. The management team goes out of their way to create a full social calendar for residents to meet one another, and make new connections. Living several hours away, it gives me peace of mind to know that my mother lives in a place that really puts their residence first."
"The Village at Fawcett's Pond is the most beautiful and well cared for housing development. The staff manager is most caring and she holds your hand thru the entire process from the time you make application until she hands you the keys to your "For Ever Home". The maintenance man is friendly and competent. He is interested in the residence's well being and comfort. Together they make a winning team."
"Nice place to live, grounds are beautiful and well maintained. My aunt loves it there. Spring flowers being planted now."
"Initially looks nice, but look more closely and you’ve got a pretty shoddy, noisy, uncomfortable, and inconvenient living situation. 1. You cannot park near your apartment, even if you have a handicap sticker. For one building the closest handicapped parking space is 75 feet from the front door of the apartment building. Some spots are 200 feet away. 2. It is EXTREMELY noisy here. The walls are so thin that you can hear every word of your neighbors’ conversations. I need hearing aids but even when I don’t have them in I can hear my neighbors quite clearly. Today the landscapers used the leaf blowers at 8 AM this morning and then again at 6 PM. Why would they do this? These are extremely loud, commercial leaf blowers. They have to be doing this at management’s request. That will give you some kind of an idea as to what management is like here. The landscapers are here six days a week, all day, making noise of all kinds. This property is not that big, so one has to wonder if that is really necessary. I used to live in a development of 35 acres of wooded land in Florida and the landscapers would come once a week from 9 to 5 and they were able to get the job done in that amount of time. What are the landscapers doing here for over 40 hours a week making an excessive amount of noise, other than bothering the residents? 3. Each apartment has an alarm that you can pull that apparently pages the paramedics. This is not a silent alarm. In fact, it is a rather loud alarm that everyone in the building can hear and it goes off at all hours of the day and night, and it goes off almost daily. Again, why have this set up to do this unless it is to annoy the residents? 4. The apartments aren’t just small, they are teeny tiny at 500 square feet. I could go on and on, but there’s just not enough space here."
