"Our experience hasn’t started yet! Hopefully by the end of next weekend! The process of applying and searching has been the smoothest transition we have gone through! We want to thank Mackenzie and Debbie and Sarah for helping us through the process !!"
"Really amazed by the help, support and understanding from both Sara and Debbie. Great experience with the application process for now. The place is beautiful and the few people I met along the way have been friendly and great examples of what you would want for a neighbor. Wish me luck!"
"The building technically has AC, but not until June 15th, by MA state law. The last Manager never tried to get an exception, but the new Management works with the local department of Health and does get the exception. Small parking spots, damaged walls in the halls, questionable elevators (I’ve been trapped twice) I moved at the beginning of the pandemic, and have just been on auto pilot, but yesterday broke me. Don’t expect to get your money’s worth. Live somewhere else. Seriously, between the train/motorcycle/street noise and the 50 year old AC they can’t seem to do anything about - run The AC has been broken for a week, with little communications about a resolution date or even an idea of whats going on. The gate to the garage has been busted for a month. I was hoping Lincoln was a better management company than the other 4(?) we've had. Thats more than one a year. Also, its nice how they've taken away the social media portal we had once, I guess we're easier when we can't organize I dropped this back down to two stars because the office called me this morning and pop quizzed me about my review. 10am, just finished a 4 hour strategy session. Sure I was defensive, because my brain was in another space. The call was accusatory, aggressive and borderline bullying. No one likes to be put on the spot, especially not after just talking for a number of hours. While the new management is trying to improve the Bixby, fixing some of the problems I discussed above, calling someone in the middle of a workday to "talk about a review" and firing questions at them aggressively is unprofessional. Let see how the next few months go, but I'll be updating as we go. The Bixby, where we do the bare minimum they stopped sending us emails about general maintenance stuff and want us to just rely on "papers slide under the door". 1995 called, they want their method of communication back. Any updates on that making parking spots wider, or are you going to tell me that you're within the law for us to get door dings and have to get our packages out of the car before we park. "
"I loved living at the Bixby. The staff was always extremely friendly and accommodating to me and my needs. The trains were a bit loud but you get used to that and it never disturbed my sleep. Generally, the neighbors were good, the noise blocking is mediocre, the doors being the worst - if someone was coming down the hallway you heard every step. But overall, I’d live here again. I only left because I had to leave the state, if I hadn’t, I’d still be living there happily."
"We have been here since July and I can’t rave enough about the staff at The Bixby! During a pandemic Maria brought us joy from the first phone call asking about the open apartments. I am one to ask a million and one questions and Maria was always a phone call, an email and sometimes both a call and a email away! The building management made it super easy to move in and incredibly welcome from the first day. We absolutely love living in this building and I wake up with a smile experiencing the views of the river every single day. I work from home so my environment needed to be perfect and since moving in my motivation is through the roof! Although closed for now, can’t wait until they are back open, the amenities here are amazing. The deck is so private and the club house has a great vibe. My boyfriend and I can’t wait for a after work night of shuffle board and pool. The only reason why I did not leave a 5 star is because there are residents that we feel may not value and hold the same amount of pride in this space. Hopefully that will change over time when folks are held accountable for their actions! All and all we LOVE the Bixby!"
