"Andover is an expensive place to rent. Andover Place in Andover provides a relatively cheaper option. The Apartments are good, quiet and with lot of greeneries around. The leasing staffs are ok but they generally don't acknowledge or reply back to mails. The maintenance service is kind of poor. We had received a new yet dead refrigerator when we moved it. They had replaced it with an old but working refrigerator as a temporary solution promising us with a new refrigerator which they never did even after multiple requests. Our stoves are malfunctioning right from Day 1 yet never got replaced even after multiple requests. Normal service requests also take time sometimes. Apartment common areas like entrance, elevators, aisle are not cleaned on a daily basis and because the place is dog friendly, the areas are sometime a mess. We are continuing to stay here as its a relatively cheaper options in am expensive city and due to work proximity."
"This is our last year at Andover Place. It was okay the first couple years but our stay has become gradually unpleasant. I complained about a neighbor on the first floor smoking hookah/marijuana. Management said “we are aware and handling the situation”. That was 5 months ago and the tenants continue to do it everyday. Lobby and hallways smell of smoke because of it (I’m 6 months pregnant and there are plenty of other pregnant women/children in our building). Last year we moved a floor up to get a bigger apartment. We filled out the maintenance form upon moving into the new apartment for our A.C that had birds living in it, shower head that was dispensing water onto the walls, and screen door that was jammed closed - could not access our patio. Majority of the problems did not get fixed, except for the shower head which took months to get attention & numerous requests and reminders to management. In addition, The A.C did not get fixed till the end of the summer.. However, we are very grateful for the maintenance guys. They are all wonderful and made our stay more pleasant. There are a lot of tenants (3 buildings total) so I understand management could be under a lot of stress but there is a solution to every problem. Management just need to find theirs."
"I have lived here for over 20 years. It's by far the best place in the area. Extremely well managed, clean, quiet, has so many amenities, Gym, extremely large swimming pool with life guard every day. The garden, flowers, landscaping is superb. The management team is nothing short of amazing. The location is on a cul de sac and is quiet and overlooking the Merrimack river. There is the Merrimack trail along the river just behind the building where you can walk, bike, jog. I love this place."
"Been in this community for close to 4 years in 2 different units. Both units have been of decent quality and rents are reasonably priced. The community is also constantly maintained. Maintenance and leasing office folks are great and all apartment issues are promptly addressed."
"I was going to rent from this place. Moving Connecticut to MA. I completed my application process with them. Then they pressured me to put a deposit. Over the phone said I would receive my deposit back if it did not take the rental unit. So, put a deposit. Then they call every day for me to sign documents to lease. I said need 3 weeks to know my move date before signing. Also said to release the unit and I would reapply. Then they disappeared would not take my call and told me the deposit was not refundable. You make your mind it you should rent there. I glad I'm not."
