"Just moved here and the unit itself was in nice condition. The staff has been courteous when I had questions. Parking has not been an issue yet. The rent is reasonable and yes there are kids and family here so you will hear kids and ppl at times. it’s not super loud but it’s expected and normal for being a diversed community. People can take better attention to their dogs and picking up here and there but nothing too crazy. If you’re looking for a luxury , 5 star hotel experience then go pay that standard price. I’m paying for a nice and comfortable place. I like it here so far. Holly has been great and responsive to me from the start. Amy has been pleasant as well. Overall i think of course there can be some improvements like other places but for the price point and value, I’m content with my choice."
"Good things for here is location and reasonable rent fee. (FYI, all utilities including water and sewer by tenant, parking is generous, heating and hot water are free per contract but not sure if it is really free or not) Bad things; 1. maintenance: I've requested repairing several issues, some issues were resolved within 2weeks or earlier, but some issues has not been resolved yet although the requests were several months ago. After i submit this review, office called me and it seems like they tried to resolve all I requested, however, no one has not been coming yet, still waiting. 2. many people here smoke(not only ciga, but other things) anywhere in front of windows or doors. as a 1st floor tenant, this is really disgusting. can not open windows. 3. noisy, children upstair jumping anytime, and adults in that unit jumping too, maybe they have exercise in their APT, and pets in other units barks anytime everyday. 4. delivery: there is a small mailroom between buildings and it is locked. delivery by Amazon, Fedex, UPS, or etc dumps all packages to the small room, so that I have spend a lot of time to search my packages when i order something, or sometimes items i ordered were missing. Although I signed up and paid for lockers, deliveries mostly on the floors. I guess it is because lockers in mailroom is too small compared to community size. 5 nobody from leasing office care about these issues above. what they said was 'this is not smoking free property', 'there is no regulation regarding noise' 6. water quality: not sure if this is entire Andover issue or only this apartment issue, but water quality here is so bad, when i turned on hot water especially, the water color becomes brown(i do not know what that is, rust or chemical), so I installed water filters at all faucets, this helps a lot but not perfect. one of my friends in same building said their laundry was screwed up due to water. FYI, there is no gas service by National Grid since cooking is by electric Overall, if you do not mind anything above but location, this is for you. After I submitted this review, office called me and asked some questions, then they mentioned about they would resolve service requests that I submitted several month's ago, but no one came yet for a month."
"Update: forgot to mention the discoloration of water at least twice a month. This is mentioned in other reviews too. Its a problem which they refuse to fix. I took shower today in this water and drank it before i found out about the discoloration. Also, if you are someone that lives here and cant drive then you are stuck with this water or die of thirst. Lets hope i don’t get sick. Current resident at this place and moved in to this place in May 2023. Lets go over why i decided to give it 1 star. Pros: -Conveniently located near major highways -The swimming pool Cons: -The management of this place is incompetent (please read the full review to understand this) -Nothing ever gets done in a timely manner here -The carpet stunk when i checked out the apartment to move in, it still stunk when I moved in so they had to have someone come clean it again. It still stunk so I had to do my own cleaning of the carpet. -Extra one time charge for using the swimming pool?? Should mention that before having someone sign the lease. (My fee was waived due to miscommunication) -Told me I couldn’t park my company car here (although many commercial vehicles are parked here), eventually they let me park the car once I spoke to them. (Apparently making it an exception but as I said there are plenty commercial vehicles parked here) -Moved in May 2023 and we found that the bathroom tub gets clogged where I shower. Put it in the maintenance request through their online portal. Got no response from anyone for over 2 weeks until i had to go visit them at the management office. And no it was not resolved with the first visit. I had to go in a couple of times before they could’ve the maintenance fix the issue. (You just rented me the apartment, wouldn’t you look out for these basic things when putting it back in the market). -Comes June, the bathroom sink is now clogged. I put in the request through their online portal and again no response to resolve the issue for over two weeks. I luckily found the maintenance guy in the hall and grabbed him to fix the sink. -June 2023- smoke detectors starts to beep because its out of battery at 2 am in the night. It cost me $18 to buy two 9V batteries at the gas station nearby so i can shut off the noise. (Again these are the basics you were suppose to do when renting out an apartment to someone) -August 2023- I go and tell them that I want to rent out a garage because winter is coming and I want a place to put my daughters bicycle and my bicycle. They told me that it’s available and they will rent that out to me. Took my information and never contacted me again. I revisited after two weeks and they told me that the guy that does the garages is out on vacation. (Ok thats understandable). -September 2023- still waiting on the garage. Went back and forth between their office to be only told they will call me which btw they never do. End of September they give a clicker for the garage after I went in the office asking for it but apparently they gave me someone else’s garage who still had their stuff in it. -September 2023- my adult bike gets stolen from the apartment premises. No camera security?? -October 2023 - they give the clicker for the new garage which they were suppose to call me to come get but they didn’t so i had to drop in and get them from them. I go check out my garage and of course the light bulb is out and the pin pad is out of battery. I go back to their office and they told me they will have it fixed. The next day I stopped in their office and asked if they got the things fixed the excuse blew me away. Amy the manager here said “the guy that does these garages is on vacation.” But wait? Wasn’t this guy on vacation just the previous month? How many vacation does this guy take? The lying straight to my face has caused me to leave this review. Now, as a businessman this would never fly at my place of business and usually I end up firing the incompetent staff because they ruin a company’s reputation. If you are paying close to $3000 for rent then I think you can find better options in Andover."
"I recently moved within the Hamilton Green community. Although it seemed to be a more simple move, since I was moving within the same building, there were a lot of details. I was also nervous because I decided to transfer without seeing the apartment ahead of time. My heartfelt thanks to Amy Kaussner. In spite of Hamilton Green, being short staffed at the time, Amy meticulously made sure that nothing fell through the cracks with my move. The apartment is amazing and I love it! It is comforting and reassuring to live in an apartment community where the manager sincerely cares about the residents. Thank you, Amy!"
"Edit: Followed up with Amy. She's been great and understanding given my situation. Willing to work with me to resolve issues are promptly as possible. I really liked working with Lisa from the management team. She stayed late to give me the key even though I got behind due to my train arriving late. But the apartments themselves are incredibly overpriced for what they are, they are also not what most would consider a luxury apartment. First, you cannot have HEAT AND A/C. Yes that is correct, you have to pick and choose which one you want, so seasons like Spring/Fall that fluctuate in temperature, guess what? SOL. It's a long and laborious process to have them switched out. Second, it's incredibly overpriced. As stated, the apartments, at least mine, are old and dirty. The carpet looks like it has not been changed for 40 years. It has a strong damp order like a basement that has been ignore for half a century. The appliances are all incredibly old and barely holding together with glue. I haven't seen a washer/dryer this old before, it's ruined 5 shirts already (holes). Third, my apartment had tons of mold, termite damage, unclean toilet seats, amongst other things - upon my arrival. Lisa tried to make it right by having a cleaning crew come in again. But all they did was vacuum. The mold was no cleaned, and the air vents in both bathrooms have not been cleaned in 20+ years. All in all this is a below average apartment sold at a luxury price. Fourth, this apartment is littered with loud obnoxious children with 0 parent supervision. They run, scream, bang on doors. They leave garbage everywhere. Food, bags, cans, etc. Their parents are nowhere to be found when they screech along the hallways. Fifth, depending on which apartment you have, the garbage is VERRRRY far away. Invest in a cart for garbage/recycling. There is one central unit dump tucked away in a corner. There's no local garbage disposal, you WILL have to carry it manually. 6th, package delivery nightmare. All packages received are thrown into a tiny hot shack. You also have to PAY to be able to receive packages as well. It's a bit of a mess, so many of the package storage doors are broken, it's never maintained, a lot of drivers don't even have access to it so packages are delayed. Once again, you have to trek to get your packages, much like the garbage. 7th, overpriced. The cost of a 2BR/2BTH is $2,600. Given the condition and states of these apartments, I would argue that even $1,800 is above what it's worth. This is but a small small, and I mean SMALL part of the issues here. I do not see them being resolved ever."
