"We moved in almost 5 months ago now. We moved in early as my other lease was ending. The apartment was not ready. It was filthy, shelves were missing from the kitchen cabinets and the bathroom closets. About a week after (already having furniture and things in the room) we got a phone call that carpet cleaners were on their way and would be here in 10 minutes. We had to hectically remove as much as we can from the rooms in order to accommodate the cleaners. It has only gone downhill since. It took over 3 weeks to get the shelves in the unit. We also had electrical issues (including safety issues with shorted circuits) which took 2.5 MONTHS to correct. Any time we have attempted to contact the office we do not get a response. We go up to the office (during their posted hours) and no one is there. We send multiple emails, attempt to call and receive no response. For the past month we've been having noise issues above us. Our upstairs neighbors have kids running around at all hours (yes even when I'm writing this at midnight this child is running and jumping). We have sent voice files with time stamps to the office for proof of the levels of noise and the hours they happen. We understand that there is a certain level of noise to be expected in a complex, but this is ridiculous. We have to turn up the tv quite loud in order for us to drown it out. They also smoke weed, which according to the lease is cause for immediate termination of the lease. We have mentioned all of this to the office multiple times and nothing is being done. We have tried calling the office multiple times, sending emails and even attempted to reach the corporate office, with no success of course, as we do not know what else to do. UPDATE: After again having radio silence (from the office not the upstairs neighbors), we decided to call the office and keep calling until someone picked up (took us 5 calls). Finally, we had one of the office workers pick up and come to the unit to experience the level of noise. They agreed that it is obnoxious and unreasonably loud. They said they will send a noise complaint later that day. Throughout the next 3 days the noise did not decrease at all, so we decided to walk up to the office. (Surprisingly) they were there. We talked to the manager and they did say they sent a notice 3 days prior when they experienced the noise and that they will send another one today. She explained in detail the process if this continues and what our options are which we appreciated very much. Since then the noise has been significantly less (3 days now). I am still disappointed that it took over 1.5 months (our first email of a noise complaint was end of November, and we continued sending emails weekly) for us to even have 1 lease violation notice sent out, after sending proof of the noise in email, calling and emailing multiple times. At least something is being done now and it seems to be improving."
"I recently moved into this apartment complex, and it has exceeded all my expectations. The staff is incredibly friendly and responsive, always ready to help. The amenities are great from the pool to the gym. Plus, the apartments are spacious and modern, making it feel like home. I couldn't be happier with my decision to live here! 5 stars all the way!"
"Believe the negative reviews and note the pattern in the timeline of positive reviews to negative ones. The positive reviews occur during Bluestones ownership, then the reviews fall off a cliff in the last two years. After four years, I will not be renewing my lease, I can’t get out fast enough. The serious issues here are real, the pictures are real, the police raids are real. Property damage, drug violence, domestic violence, vandalism, unsupervised packs of kids stealing, breaking and damaging property. I won’t walk my dog after dark inside the complex anymore. The U.S postal service confirmed repeatedly asking the property to install cameras in at least the mail area due to the volume of thefts. Most residents I know have resorted to having their packages delivered to friends or family instead! I am on my 2nd tire repair from hazardous debris in the garbage collection area in a single year. I am in a townhouse that I pay over $2000 a month for. It has not seen an improvement made in my 4 year tenure, I can’t even get my dishwasher repaired after three months of reporting an issue. This is minor compared to firearms discharged in a neighboring residence. Aggressive and I suspect unregistered dogs off leash. Many of us have installed our own security cameras, as the management company could not seem to care less. Long term residents are getting the hell out. When you see the same reports over and over again, trust what you are reading. P.s the one thing you won’t pay extra for is the mold!"
"I moved in here and it was great and nice and quite community loved (the owner) who helped me with the process of getting the apartment just fantastic person he is but besides him I feel it was up and down the light the year of being here was a bit hard. My upstairs neighbor the first day not even 24 hrs was very noisy and complained instantly, and been like that half of the year, it finally settled down and we came to be cordial. The apartments are more of rent collectors than a community itself. I caught one of the maintenance people recording my dog for whatever reason I reported it to the office they said that they had no information about it, but it was reported to them. All my other neighbors were pretty well. They do really good at keeping up with the lawn & outside area. Just a lot of kids in the community not a bad thing it for someone who wants an honest review about the community we had a lot of kid playing but there’s been reports of damage being done to vehicles, etc. just make sure you pay your rent on time, they don’t care about your situations or any of that that’s why I say they are more of rent collectors than anything (just from my own experience). For the price of the apartment complex I wouldn’t say it’s worth it at all as I thought about it because I seen other apartment complexes/apartments in general had a lower price and looked amazing as well too. The walls of the apartment are thin I heard like every conversation, even an alarm clock I heard from upstairs. I wouldn’t think twice to even hang a tv on the walls. The walls easily bruise too. But whatever floats your boat, don’t let this comment discourage you it’s just an honest review. Good Luck!"
"I’ve been a resident at Oak Hills, now Eagle Rock, for three years and will not be renewing my lease. Rent continues to increase which is just one problem of many. Management is extremely difficult to get in touch with (unless you happen to have a direct email to someone in the office) since Eagle Rock has came in. All calls are directed to the corporate line, and you are unable to speak with someone who actual works at this location, which can be extremely frustrating. As for the complex itself, you will often see trash and the garbage disposal area left a mess with trash/ glass surrounding the area. In the last three years, residents have become louder and a police presence is common. It’s not a typical week if I don’t see police knocking at a door near my apartment or breaking up a dispute. This past summer I had to complain in person about kids who live in the complex throwing rocks at cars/ opening packages in the mail room. Two to three years ago I would’ve recommended this complex. Now, I can’t get out fast enough. *management did reach out, which was appreciated. Both Megan and Chloe were professional and helpful."
