DeLaet's Landing 100 New Broadway, Rensselaer, NY 12144

"5 month update: Overall, I think the property is safe, well-maintained and a great value for the location (heated pool, EV charger, great view, on the water and just 5 minutes from downtown Albany). I will also add the staff is very hard working and responsive. However, I was originally told that heat was included in the rent (as were other neighbors) but let me assure you this is not the case. I would not recommend DeLaet’s if noise or ventilation is a concern. There is little to no ventilation, so everything you cook will linger in the apartment and everything your neighbor cooks will linger in the hallway. I am unable to get a full night’s sleep due to a noisy neighbor. I contacted management regarding quiet hours; however, they said it’s tricky enforcing noise complaints and didn’t seem to know when quiet hours end. Disappointing response from management, especially when I am constantly being disturbed 5:30 - 6:00 am (even on weekends). Depending on your unit, you may also hear the AC units on the roof. The train station is next door, so you will hear Amtrak from time to time but it’s not excessive. Also, when it gets warm, you will hear the fireworks and concerts nearby on the water. I do not consider the appliances to be luxury or high end. In fact, the stovetop looks very used and the refrigerator is awful. Depending on the building you are in, you may not have an ice maker. Or worse, your refrigerator may not even close properly. I have lost food due this issue. I will add neighbors have complained about excessive HVAC issues (both heat and AC failures) but that has not been an issue in my unit."

"Mostly happy with amenities in the newer building. No garbage disposal for a “luxury apartment” so not very luxurious. Bathroom counter is a little small and didn’t think about how awkward it is to walk across your entire apartment in the evening to use the facility The actual worse thing about living here is that they have a prewired internet service which is subpar and offers no ability to provide a higher speed even if you’re willing to pay for it….. Not to mention the fact that service drops with no way to contact the provider"

"I lived at Delaet’s Landing for almost 2 years and have really enjoyed my experience. Since living here they have added a rooftop deck which has been great to take the elevator up to and view the Albany skyline. The property manager is always quick to respond to any communications and is very friendly and professional. I am only moving due to a job relocation but otherwise I would continue living here."

"I moved into DeLaet’s Landing in June and have found it to be a very positive experience. The property manager was very patient showing me various units so I could make a choice of a layout that met my needs. A walk thru was scheduled before I moved in and I found the unit to be spotless. A couple of small repairs were necessary after the fact and those were accomplished within a few days of submitting a repair request on line. I am very impressed with the building-the corridors, front lobby, elevators, etc. appear very upscale and are kept clean. The mail room is kept orderly and there are various carts, etc. that have been helpful when I have a car full of items to move into my apartment. The trash disposal room must be checked numerous times a day because I’ve always found it to be clean. I find I’m bragging about the building rather than making excuses about it. Everything is convenient: the parking, proximity to Amtrak and major highways, mall and grocery shopping without going into the city of Albany. I’m happy with my decision!"

"I move around a lot because of the work I do and this is hands down the best apartment moving experience in my life. I moved here from DC and am used to having an abundance of luxury apartments to choose from and sadly, there isn't much to choose from in the Albany area. When I saw DeLaets, I literally breathed a sigh of relief because this is what I expect when I think of luxury.The property manager, Antoinette went above and beyond to help me find the perfect apartment, and the leasing process was simple and super convenient since I could do everything online. The building is gorgeous, the amenities are top tier, and the apartments are spacious and beautiful. I love the fact that they have top loading washing machines too because I'm not a fan of front loading machines. My apartment has floor to ceiling windows that face the water and I have a spectacular view of the city. Having a great place to call home when you're new to a city makes the whole experience of relocating a lot less traumatic. This is luxury at it's finest."
