"I have only stayed in the Studio over the last several years while staying here, and have always had a good experience. The room is on the second floor, above the office, so I can't speak to any noise problems like some reviewers mentioned. The room also has hardwood floors versus carpet, so never had an issue with mold/must either. I can agree the towels could be better, but most motels on Cape and in general share this. The Studio room has a full kitchen (oven, stove, fridge) so if you're looking to cook/save money while on vacation and want a less expensive place to stay while still in a good location this is it. The parking lot can be a bit tight, but Summer on Cape is packed most places."
"1. Small parking lot and small tv. 2. No safe, no coffee maker and no note pads. -no basics. 3. No chain lock. Just basic nob lock. Easy to break in 4. Shower head had mold on it. 5. They stole a water and soda from my fridge!! There's a cheap motel up the street that's better... go there"
"Service and location are great. David was kind and picked up his cell-phone when we accidentally locked ourselves out of our room. The room itself was overall clean and had the basic necessities. I appreciated the daily take-out of garbage. Little bit of mold in a corner of the bathroom (but not directly in the shower). We weren’t really bothered by it. Past reviews say there is a smell but this is easily resolved with the functional AC they have."
"I would not recommend this motel. We stayed at the Guest Lodge in order to be on the Cape to spend a day with friends on Martha's Vineyard. When we returned home after a fun 12 hour visit to MV, our friend's key would not open his hotel room door. It was 10:30 pm. We went to the front desk. Nobody there. We called "0" on the phone to reach someone, nobody answered. We called about 10 times. Finally, a guest staying in the room next to theirs came out and said he knew the owner, and he placed a call. No answer. He tried another number, no answer. Now it's close to 11pm, and we are all exhausted. The neighbor then told us the owner of Guest Lodge also owns the Travel Lodge down the street. I drove down to Travel Lodge. Nobody at the office. I dialed "0" on the phone, and FINALLY someone answered and came to help us. The next morning my friend asked for a bit of a refund for the troubles we encountered. The owner told him he could not refund any money. He said he was "kind" to me when I had to cancel my reservation last year in less than 72 hours advance. I checked his cancellation policy, and he did exactly what it said. He kept the cost of 1 night and gave me a hotel credit for the rest. So, he was not "kind" to me in any way when I cancelled due to illness in 2022. I don't usually complain about anything, but I believe it's "unacceptable" to run a hotel and NOT have someone available in case of problems during the night. The owner was very apologetic and explained that he had new people and was having training issues. I appreciated that, but I wish he had offered my friends even a small refund for their troubles. THAT would have been "kind"...following your cancellation policy is not "kind". If the owners friend had not been staying in the next room and came out to see what was going on, my friends would have had to go look for another hotel for the night!!! Unacceptable!"
"Well, staying at this hotel was a very interesting experience. First off, the pool is dirty and had random pennies in it. There was a old cigar outside of my room. When I first stepped into the room it smelled strongly of weed. After awhile of walking around barefoot in the room, I noticed my feet had black residue on the bottom of them. I rubbed my finger on the carpet and the same black residue was left on the tip of my finger. Mattress was lumpy and uncomfortable. Room was dusty. Found hair in the drawers. Don’t recommend unless you like the smell of weed in your room. Only pros are the location and the staff are nice."
