"Went here a couple years ago. The pool was frigid, but I guess that can be expected for the time of year. Our room was on the very end to the east, so we had no ocean view, and instead we pulled the curtains aside to see a rusty construction vehicle and a fallen ladder. The door between the rooms was thin, so I heard all the arguments between the people next door, their fumbling with a smart speaker and their "sleep music" on max volume. There was no breakfast provided even though there seemed to be a restaurant with all the equipment. Maybe the ocean view would make it worth staying here, but I missed out on that."
"I’ve been staying at Pilgrim Sands for years. Our drum corps comes up for the America’s Hometown Parade and always used to stay here. When the hotel stopped sponsoring the parade, they had to move to a different hotel, but my husband and I continued to stay because we loved being on the water and the quaint and friendly nature of the hotel. I was really hoping the reviews I read before this trip had been exaggerated but unfortunately, they weren’t. This place has changed so much in just a few years and we’ve already decided that we won’t be staying again next year. The hotel looks very run down, particularly with the mounds of dirt in the parking lot. The lounge is now an empty room. The pool, bar, and restaurant are all closed. And there’s no longer weekend entertainment. It’s sad because I have over twenty years of memories at this place, but the price per night is going up while the quality is going down. Our room was great and the staff at the front desk were very polite, but when you’re paying for amenities that they no longer offer, it simply isn’t worth it for us. I wish them the best of luck with this renovation because the place has so much potential, but we’re going to be staying elsewhere next year."
"Wonderful little hotel on the coast. Waking up in the morning to the sound of the ocean and walking five feet to see the ocean as I drank my coffee was phenomenal. We had a eel river view but we were literally 5 feet from the veranda. The beds were comfortable. The showers were great. 100% would recommend."
"My son and I stayed at Pilgrim Sands for a few days in July. The room was clean and comfortable. I was disappointed by the lack of beach, which was basically large rocks with a small strip of water. The staff was not very friendly and difficult to communicate with. Also there was no restaurant as is advertised."
"Hotel is very clean and in a great location. Priced fairly and the staff are very helpful. The pools are very Clean and free 247 coffee which is always nice. Cons being the breakfast is lacking, no where on site to get food or drink and the high tide making the beach inaccessible for half the day. I will stay here again and reccomend it for anyone visiting the area, especially in you have kids."
