"You get what you pay for. The decor is less than appealing. Needs a major refresh. Tiny rooms and the carpets are dirty. Nice touch with coffee in lobby and kerig in room. While we encountered some nice staff members one morning I was sitting in the lobby and the 2 women working at the front desk were discussing inappropriate things and cursing. Very unprofessional. Grounds are very pretty and nice pathway to the beach was the highlight. I will go air B&B next time I’m in the area. #1 on list for this place is to get a refresh - paint walls - new carpets. Get rid of outdated curtains. I’m a designer so it’s hard to ignore the aesthetics. It would not take much to make this a 5 star."
"We stayed 3 nights and attended a wedding. What a lovely location. The staff went above and beyond to assist us with all our needs. This Inn is close to many restaurants and beaches with a walking path on-site. Our steak dinner was fanominal, and the cocktails were great!"
"Unsanitary. My room had a Keurig machine, which was good, and two coffee cups. But after a day there, I wondered if they replaced the cups with clean ones. One of my cups had a “made in China” sticker on the bottom of it. So I marked it. Sure enough, when I returned to the room in the evening, one of the “new” cups had the same sticker on the bottom of it."
"The best I can say about my stay at the Wylie Inn and Conference Center is the cost, compared to other options, was low. My experience with hotels in the Boston area hasn't been a good one for many years. This stay didn't move the needle, unfortunately. I also want to highlight the very poor road conditions in the surrounding area. The Town of Beverly, Massachusetts is making an effort now, late in the road repair season, to fix the extensive set of potholes, cracks, unevenness, plaguing each of streets I used to reach the Inn from Massachusetts Route 128, but, nevertheless, I could have broken an axle on my car just getting there. I also want to note the lack of in-room television options. Despite a brand-new flat screen LG TV, we ended up watching nothing. Why? The "streaming app" for Chromecast wouldn't work -- not good at all. What was a plus about my stay? The proximity of this location to Beverly Harbor is a plus. The views of the Atlantic driving from the Inn to Rockport were wonderful - especially after too long a break from the sea since I relocated from Central Long Island to Southwestern New England"
"My family and I stayed here and really enjoyed our stay. The staff was kind, the rooms were perfect for our needs, and the beach is accessible from the hotel. The walk down to the beach is so pretty. There is a coffee shop just a few blocks down, as well as the main campus (which is gorgeous). I would definitely love to make another trip back and will stay here again. Thank you!!"
