"They have different rooms at different prices. I suggest you get a room with private bathroom. Not all inn's on have private bathrooms. The food is upscale and the dinning room is beautiful with views of the Atlantic. All rooms were very clean and air-conditioned. Nice short walk to the 1661 petting farm for kids and adults. 5 star staff."
"Thank you Sarah & team for being so welcoming. We enjoyed our short stay in your wonderful hotel, I loved the fact that even with the renovations you managed to keep the charm and the quirkiness of this historic building including the uneven floor in the room, lol. Even though the room listed a queen bed, I found it to be more like a king and the photos do not give it justice, I actually found it to be much bigger. The windows give way to the view of the sea in the distance and the sunflowers opposite the hotel. The bed was sooo very comfortable and the toiletries were very good. There is no fridge, but Sarah gave us an ice bucket to keep my son's water cool. There is a mini bar with some snacks and mineral water. There is no telly either, but did not phase us as we did not spend much time in the room. We did not stay for dinner, but it was extremely busy with patrons. Deck chairs line the front lawn to anticipate the sunsets in the evenings. If you have never visited Block Island, please take my word for it, it is as if you have been transported back in time, when everything was good in the world. Also, sorry to hear about the fire at the other hotel, that was terrible."
"Just an absolute class act of a place, from bottom to top. My girlfriend and I spent a weekend at the Atlantic Inn celebrating our anniversary, and from the moment we walked in to the quaint sitting room, tastefully decorated with nautical flair by the owner, we felt at home. (Actually, the feel of this place is more like staying at a grandparent's home -- not an old and stodgy one, but warm and inviting and unpretentious.) Our room was small but comfortable, with a radio, small dresser and an incredible perspective on the Old Harbor outside our window (spring for the ocean view!). The only thing I'd have liked is a little more space both in the bedroom and bathroom, but the king-sized bed and excellent A/C made up for that. When it comes to hospitality, the people are just as important as the decor, and these folks are top notch. Special thanks to Eric the bartender, who took care of us all weekend long with drink recommendations and as much conversation as we wanted, and also to the owner Greg, who surprised us with a celebratory round of champagne on our anniversary night at the restaurant (where dinner was a delight). Every time we came back to the Inn between bike rides, or ghost tours, or ping pong games in town, we took a little time on the front lawn to enjoy a drink (while also drinking in the view of the harbor), and each time we did we looked over our shoulder at this special place, and counted ourselves lucky to be able to stay there. If only all hotels could feel this special."
"Four of us had an amazing, delicious dinner there last Saturday. Not only did they allow us to bring our own very special bottle of wine for corkage, of course (not common on Block Island), but the dining room was gorgeous! Our understanding is that there are new owners who renovated and they just reopened— lucky us! Even better- the food was delicious and perfectly prepared— and the service was impeccable. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!"
"The Atlantic Inn is under new management and looks absolutely stunning. Obviously the views outside are wonderful, but now the interior is beautifully designed to match. The food at the Atlantic is so delicious that we decided to go back a second night for dinner. I had the orange shrimp and burrata salad the first night and the halibut the second night. Both meals were fresh and creative, and the wine list was wonderful to match. While I didn’t stay at the Inn, I did get a peek of the newly designed rooms. I would love to stay here the next time I’m on Block Island."
