"I was at the Holiday Inn Hotel in Dedham Massachusetts for an event, Wednesday 10/25/23. Around 3pm I seen the employees talking about the food they were serving us. In our eyes the food looked great! While cutting and biting into our meat we were served raw CHICKEN! I in a million years never thought I would attend to an event to be served full uncooked, RAW MEAT. This is a food and health safety for us, as guests. This place is not well put or even prepared well. The employees that were walking around with the plates are so rude. I just feel so sick to my stomach even thinking while writing about it. I was too shocked that it had happened. I’ve contacted board of health and haven’t got an answer yet. If we can get anyone out to check this hotel out we all would deeply appreciate it."
"Booked a room through Costco Travel. Our flight was delayed and I called the hotel since we would be arriving late—they said it would be no problem and our room would be available. When we arrived they assigned the three of us a room with a single king bed. They said the hotel was fully booked and we had no other choice, not even offering to find a room at a nearby hotel. Only one person was working the front desk and they were away half the time trying to help other people. The building seems old, musky and humid in the halls. Far overpriced for the quality. I would never return to this hotel."
"The room and beds were good: quite a bit of space and comfy. The bathroom is definitely showing wear and the toiletries provided are minimal unless you ask for more. The fire alarm went and staff on duty had no idea how to lead with protocol (was there protocol)? The price was good but given how far out from Boston it’s located, in addition to the so-so service, the value is okay. The daytime front service staff is very nice and accommodating though."
"My partner and I just stayed here for the weekend. I'm not going to lie, but all the recent negative reviews made my time at Holiday Inn skeptical. I didn't want our money to go to waste. We checked in, check in was smooth, and when we got to our room, the room was really nice and clean. Bed was comfy. No concerns with the room whatsoever. The only complaint we had is that the ac was auto, so in the middle of the night it would turn off while we were asleep, making us uncomfortable. We wanted the ac on consistently. The breakfast was good. It was quiet most of the time. The Bamboo restaurant was great too. We booked the hotel for a getaway for the weekend because we wanted to hang out at Legacy Place. The hotel is at a great location, being near the highway and Legacy. We had a really great stay at the hotel. The lesson here is don't always let the reviews cloud your judgment. See for yourself, then make the judgment. I recommend!"
"Anyone giving this hotel a score above 1 must have visited a while back. I was shocked to see a review from a month ago that was identical to the experience I had this weekend. Toddlers in and children in the hallway and non working hotel room keys. Clearly the reviews are not taken into consideration. The front desk staff is so nice and patient. They are the saving grace of a hotel that should not be called a hotel but a hotel that also seems to serve as a shelter. I saw a pair of sandals in the hallway in front of one door, as well as a sign for Quiet Time in the hotel. Ive never seen that in my life. When we arrived the associate at the front desk was willing to allow us to check in early. However she did not explain how to get to our room. After wandering for a bit, I went back downstairs and was told how to get there. When we arrived to our room, we saw a bunch of children sitting in the hallway. We thought they may have been sitting outside of the room because housekeeping was in the room. The keys to the room did not work, the sofa bed had popcorn and debris. I asked to switch rooms only to be placed directly across the hall from the family with the children sitting outside of the room. When we went into the new room, only one key worked This time there was no linen for the sofa bed and it looked only slightly better than the one in the previous room. The hotel smelled horribly and it not inviting looking Extremely disappointing. We did not stay the night We went to a different hotel that exceeded our expectations. When we went to retrieve our bags, the same group of children were in the hall. This experience reflects poorly on the Holiday Inn brand."
