""Maximum Savings" according to my insurance is still enough to bankrupt you here. Oh and they'll send you out of network of network for any follow up care. Thanks. Now I know how people can have their whole life savings wiped out by something completely out of your control"
"This place is the best place to go to die! However if your trying to go to the hospital to live your going to want to go to any other hospital, even a junkie in Atlantic City would give you better survival chances. The er room we were put in and forgot about for 10 hours had a blood stain on the floor and needle caps. No one came to see us to check on us at all. In 10 hours we spoke to someone 3 times. Once for urine test, once to take blood and finally the last visit was to remove the iv. We had to lay our coats on her to keep her warm since the guy we asked for a blanket never returned. Next time we're heading to a real hospital instead of this joke. Good luck to anyone who tries this hospital"
"Everything happened between 4:30-5:30am about a year ago. I brought my mother to this hospital because she had a severe allergic reaction to something and we live 8 minutes away. We got there when nobody was in the lobby and the doctor was able to take a look at my mother right the way. Her throat started to close and let me tell you - this hospital did an amazing job. My mother was hospitalized and at 6am there were 4 male doctors next to my mother’s bed. The doctors came from different departments and they were ready to intubate. We got lucky and the medication worked. Those 4 doctors didn’t have to do anything but my mother still remembers them standing next to her. A year has passed and I tell my mother that if this hospital would’ve not being able to save her, nobody would. She had to spend a few hours here but the doctors literally did absolutely everything they could. The bill was hilarious tho. 15k for keeping a bed for 6 hours. She had one scan done and that’s about it. But it’s America. Yeah, it’s a scam but I still give this place 5 starts because the doctors did their job."
"Yes hospital has some problems, sometimes slow and some more advanced problems can take 2-3 days to fix when the right people come in but it will be fixed and if urgent injury n can’t help will be stabilized transported to right facility right away unlike cape regional who lets patients dying, with horrible injuries very sick be released right away. This hospital has saved my mom’s life, stabilized with proper fluids blood right away unlike cape death. Done a basic surgery with pickit line successfully, treated pain and refereed her to a nursing home n physical therapy. Also stabilized many friends of mine and immediately transferred some of them who had very bad injuries if they had any thought there facility was to small which I’m sure is why there so many low star reviews. Some nurses were rude but they were dealt with and some of the best nurses I ever met helped my mom and friends"
"BEWARE: my mom died at Shore last weekend. Someone there stole her phone that had her wallet attached. So no protocol as to handle personal belongings for someone that has died there? Disgusting. The representative for the security team who I spoke to was adamant that she didn't have phone on her, however I called and spoke to my mom AND the ICU doctor and nurse ON HER PHONE. It's in the nurses notes that the phone was turned into security after she passed. The security guard did however go on to detail horrific, and unnecessary details about her clothing items as to why they were not saved, IN THE LOBBY. Apparently not only is there no protocol on how to handle personal belongings, but no sensitivity training either. A police report has been filed. Whoever stole this from a dead woman should rot in hell, and hopefully be fired too."
