"Save yourself the hassle and get care at Atlanticare. Oceanside OBGYN was a nightmare. Over the years I’ve had the worst experience here with two different doctors at two different locations. It was so bad I went years without care. When I went back to try another doctor in the same practice I had an even more horrible experience. They prescribed hormone replacement WITHOUT any labs being done to check hormone levels. I was examined without a pap being done thinking it was a my annual exam. Then there was no record of this examination. I felt violated. This was extremely upsetting. When trying to convey that to the staff the ‘manager’ was rude and told me she was going to hang up on me if I didn’t let her speak. I sought care through Atlanticare and EVERY base was covered to meet my healthcare needs in a professional and caring way. The staff was equally as accommodating. Oceanside OBGYN was supposed to fill two hormone scripts and filled an odd number on each so they didn’t match. Both were to be taken consecutively. So I would run out of one before the other and they are to be taken together. During the upsetting call with the manager at Oceanside we made another appointment to try to remedy this debacle and they told me no appointments were available until the end of December. I wouldn’t have enough medication to get me to that appointment. They took away the hastily filled scripts and resent enough to get me to the next appointment. The care here was worse than sub par. I can’t believe I wasted so much time and money here. I am self pay which makes it even more infuriating. They don’t keep records correctly and had no answer for why I was examined without a pap. The doctor was not thorough in his explanations and rushed me through the appointment. Horrendous care. Do better."
