"My sister and I dined here for my birthday before a concert. The Food Market never disappoints. It has been one of my family's favorite restaurants for years. Our server Brandi was phenomenal. She was attentive without being annoying. She surprised me with a candle on a complimentary dessert when she saw that it was my birthday. The food is always delicious. This is one of the most consistent places to dine in Baltimore."
"The weather was atrocious, raining and cold. We were welcomed by two young hostesses and seated immediately. Andy, our server, welcomed us with a bowl of freshly made popcorn with a lot of flavor. Cocktails were delicious, and we enjoyed the most amazing plate of onion rings with melted cheese and a delicious broth. The entrées arrived, Short ribs, Shrimp & Grits, Lamb Cutlets with wilted radicchio. All beautifully prepared and presented. A very excellent meal. We did not have dessert, as our guest wanted to go to a small ice cream shop, the Charmery?"
"The Food Market certainly boasts a vibrant atmosphere with its friendly and bright interior. Upon my first visit, I couldn't help but notice the lively ambiance, although it did contribute to a slightly noisy dining experience. The tables, while cozy, felt a bit too close for comfort, especially considering the restaurant's price range. While the overall dining experience was good, the cost seemed disproportionate to the quality and portion size. My disappointment reached its peak when I ordered the lamb chops, priced at $20. the initial serving arrived completely burnt and bitter, but the staff promptly addressed the issue, replacing the lamb chops with a new serving. Yet, the second attempt was not without flaws—the outer layer had signs of overcooking, likely due to a dirty grill on a busy Sunday night. And, the inside of the lamb was undercooked, presenting an uneven culinary experience. Despite this, I must acknowledge that the lamb was well-marinated and surprisingly tender. The Food Market offers you popcorn starter. It added a unique touch to the dining experience, showcasing a creative side to their menu. In summary, the Food Market offers a visually appealing and inviting atmosphere. However, the high prices, coupled with the inconsistency in the preparation of the lamb chops, warrant a critical evaluation. The ambiance, while lively, may not be ideal for those seeking a more intimate dining setting, given the proximity of the tables. For these reasons, I find myself awarding the restaurant a 3-star rating."
"Phenomenal brunch food. It was really sweet that they brought mini donuts for the table to start. We ordered a lot of food and every plate was so delicious. Pictured are the mini donuts, big ole mozzarella sticks, French toast dippers, goat cheese mushroom omelette, avocado toast and cream of crab soup with extra crab"
