"We live in Miami and during our recent visit to Baltimore for the Ravens game, I discovered an exceptional establishment on Instagram. Upon experiencing it in person, I am pleased to share that we were met with outstanding service from friendly staff, including the managers and owners. Our bartender, in particular, was exceptional, making our visit truly enjoyable. I highly recommend considering a return visit to this establishment in the future."
"The Charles under new management is a game changer! Atmosphere and vibes are incredible. Not only is it the best game day experience, but the weekends are underrated. Great DJs, awesome light set up, & staff rocks. They low key have the best brunch in Fed now, don’t sleep on it. The Charles is back!"
"Got a bacon egg and cheese on a croissant and the table got bottomless mimosas. Potatoes were soggy but well seasoned. Sandwich was a little overpriced for $16. Turns out it was drag brunch so we stayed for that. Music was too loud even without the drag show. Channels for sports were dull. You can only replay the same college sports highlights so many times."
"Had to update this after 2 pathetic experiences The waitresses at the bar are more interested in checking their phones while “on duty” rather than serving customers. No water or napkins brought. Sometimes they don’t even ask whether you’d want to order food or get another drink. They don’t give you the regular wine/beer menu either so all you have is the happy hour list but then it gets worse… Worst part was this sneaky little waitress Salma (patrons beware) who put out happy hour menus on Saturday when we arrived (~7 PM and their menu states We’d-Sat 4-8 PM Happy hour) and after we finished ordering and drinking the one beer , she charged us double the price saying it wasn’t valid for that day (it was 7 PM ) when that was questioned she plainly and FALSELY blamed me for “ asking for the menu “ Hypothetically., even if I had asked for a menu , why provide me with a fake or non functioning one ? And then when I told her the menu was already on the table already she said (lied) “ oh that was the only one remaining we removed all “ LIES again I spotted them at the booths /tables walking out and I couldn’t have been at each one asking for the menu And served with the “not for today “ every time !! No vegan options on the menu and that was a damper. The service needs to get better . Explains why this place is empty while nearby bars are overflowing. 18% gratuity already included for a service you wouldn’t even pay 1% for Credit card dispute in process OWNER Wake up !"
"Went to The Charles to watch the lions game, and they turned it on for me, which I appreciated. While there, I had the crab cake egg rolls told and the Charles waffle. Both were delicious, and I would order again!"
