"This is an amazing Eritrean restaurant! I try to visit it every time I go to DC. I’ve never had to wait before but this time we went on a Saturday and waited more than an hour but it was worth it. We usually get the Keren special with chicken, only $18 and way more than enough food for two people. The food is delicious, the service is great, low prices, and the place is cozy."

"Keren is located in a high-energy neighborhood full of mom-and-pop shops. They operate a very modest space with great food and warm smiles. The food was good. The beef could have been a bit more tender. The injera was great. Soft and tangy. There is 1 lady taking care of the front of house. She did her best but service was kind of slow. But the taste was amazing,!!!!"

"Authentic delicious Eritrean / Ethiopian food! Everyone who works here is so sweet and it felt super homey. I loved the food I ordered and would be great to share with a few people. The food is extremely affordable and you could easily go here with a 4+ people without worrying about a long wait. Went here for lunch on a week day and the service was fast. Will definitely be back for dinner with some friends!"
