"stayed here few months ago i must say it was horrible time. wasn't aware of the paid parking when making reservations, front desk personal wasn't around. had issues with the ac/heat unit wasn't working correctly. placed a call to the front desk no one picked up then when i mentioned the next morning I was told I should have called. it's a great location but it seems like no one wants to work or help you out."

"The best Choice brand hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Updated vinyl floors and completely tiled bathroom. USB wall outlets are a nice touch as well. We’ve stayed a couple times at this hotel now and the rooms have always been clean and well stocked. The price is great and I’ve stayed in hotels double the price but with half the amenities/features."

"Do not stay here! The front desk is unmanned from 9pm until 9am. The front door was locked after 9pm and you had to go some round about way to get back in. We had to wait over 10 minutes for someone to come check us in. The desk was unattended when we got there with a number on the desk to call. I had to call twice before the manager came and checked us in. The rooms were nice enough but the floors were kinda gross, I had to wash my feet a few times after just walking around the room. There was no breakfast. The elevator sounded like a microwave. Definitely will not be staying here again."

"Overall Waves is a great hotel and I'd recommend it! It's a hotel not a motel, which is nice for safety and noise purposes. The rooms were newer and clean. There isn't a whole lot of space, but enough to get by for a few days. The hallways are very small, only 1 person can walk at a time, so keep that in mind. We did have to request turn down service and fresh towels twice before it actually happened though. The pool was fun. It's not too big and it faces a motel but there is a ledge almost all the way around and plenty of chairs. It's a nice spot to relax. That pool is shared with the neighboring motel though. If you think it's worth paying more to have use of the pool, keep that in mind. We were not too pleased with that fact because there were a bunch of people from the motel that overtook the pool and were very loud and rude. There is "breakfast" but it's very minimal, not a whole lot available. However, the coffee was surprisingly decent. The location is great! It's super close to the boardwalk and beach and there's plenty of restaurants within walking distance. You only get 1 parking spot per room, so that can be inconvenient, but if you can get free street parking a few blocks away. Overall the hotel itself was nice and we were happy with it. But, the service was seriously lacking. The staff work long days and seem to work every day. But communication from one staff member to another was nonexistent and overall not very good. The only downside about the place is the lack of good service."
