"My husband and I live in Trumbull and our almost two year old son started attending Valentina’s this past April for 3 hours each morning. We have been very happy with the daycare. Our son is in a fun, clean and safe environment and there are days when I pick him up and he doesn’t want to leave! Merlinda takes such good care of him and really pays attention to his needs and communicates with us daily. We also enjoy the app she uses to post pictures and updates on how he is eating, etc during his time in her care. On nice days, the kids are outside in a fun and safe enclosed playground area and he always has a blast. I would recommend to anyone to meet Merlinda and visit her daycare to see if it is a good fit for your child and your family’s needs. We are so happy to have found the daycare!"

"Merlinda, though well intended, is clearly untrained and ill-equipped to handle more than just a few children. We enrolled our 16 month old daughter for part time daycare with her for a total of 6 days. During that time, she accused our daughter of "aggressive" behavior (which included pushing a child who got too close to her, throwing a toy and "hitting" a 4 year old boy) , crying "For no reason" and "throwing her food". All of these behaviors, though not pleasant or easy to handle with redirection, are developmentally typical for a child this age who is seeking attention or care. These incidents all happened on days she had a "full house" while the reported "easier days" occurred when there were just 3 children in her care. We are grateful we caught her lack of capacity early and have reported her to OEC in hopes that she will get further training on toddler social and emotional development. I would encourage parents of younger children to look elsewhere. P.S. You'll also note that most of the positive reviews are from her own family. Do better for your kids."

"This place is sooooo nice! It’s so clean in there from corner to corner. Has great things for the kids to play and learn, sink area for washing hands, clean bathroom everything kid friendly. Most importantly my kids loved it and were very well taken care of. Definitely would recommend."
