Old Mine Park

"Nice park, not extremely big and I can't remember seeing it crowded in maybe 20 years. But the bathroom building seems to have been locked up and out of use since COVID. There was a port-a-potty last time I was there, in August of 23. The park is dog friendly but it's not an actual dog park - not fenced. Trumbull does have a fenced dog park off of Whitney Ave."

"Passed by this park on my bike. This was the only spot along the 10 mile rail trail that had easily accessible Porta potty. It looks like there’s bathrooms as well perhaps open during the summer. Beautiful spot."

"12.15.2019 We walked to bike trail today like we did several times this year. We love it everytime we go. This is a nature walk (not a hike). "Beautiful smaller to moderate sized free park. Always loved it here! Beautiful body of water and animal n natural life. Nice walking trails nearby. Also gazebo n benches to sit and relax. Such a nice spot for all ages. Free to enter . Free parking.. lovely spot to spend a little time there, or to spend a day. Many have small gatherings as well. Love it here ever since I was a kid."

"Old Mine Park is great for hiking as well as sitting by the water eating lunch on your lunch hour. There were plenty of geese in the water looking for something to eat as well. No matter what you do at Old Mine Park you'll have a good time that's for sure. Pictures were taken on a nice March day."
