"Road tripping across from Boston to Cali, we desperately needed a bike rack. New Horizon was the closest bike shop around and we are eternally grateful it was- from awesome customer service to a wide selection of products, we were able to find the perfect fit for our car. They went above and beyond to assemble the bike rack, install it, give a tutorial and even help fix our bike gears! We couldn't have asked for better service and friendliness."
"Drove up from Providence, RI for my first Great River Ride since before the pandemic, motivated in part by the resumption of the incredible after-ride feast. Suffered a catastrophic mechanical at the start line and thought we were going to have to slink back down to Providence without even one block of our planned century, when we were saved by Mary of New Horizons Bikes in Westfield! Although she was busy managing the start line and tons of other details - the shop run by Mary and her Dad Don has been forever the main organizer of the Great River Ride, which helps to fund the wonderful Columbia Greenway Rail Trail - she took time out from her duties to take us to the CLOSED shop and to switch out my wide-spindle pedals to a rental gravel bike that fit PERFECTLY and made the day an unforgettable adventure. I knew the shop well from doing the ride over a decade ago with my daughter on MTBs and on roadies, and then later with my wife on an MTB tandem, but this was the first time they saved me with more than last-minute bike clothes and bottles. New Horizons Bikes and the Great River Ride are the two best-kept secrets in East Coast cycling - the staff are knowledgeable and incredibly helpful, and their efforts to organize and run the GRR are nothing short of heroic. Check the shop out when you go to Westfield to access some of the awesome hilly terrain (for serious cyclists), or the Columbia Greenway Rail Trail for a more accessible ride that you can follow all the way to New Haven, CT! We usually do just the first fifteen miles of the Columbia Greenway and then stop in Westfield at Two Rivers Burritos or one of the other great local shops to eat, and starting this year we are definitely back to doing the GRR every year! Cannot recommend New Horizons Bikes highly enough - absolutely incredible family business and a great LBS! #newhorizonsbikes #greatriverride"

"New Horizons is a great bike shop. They offer new and used bikes. They do a good job keeping your bicycle rolling. They donate proceeds from the Great River Ride to Friends of the Columbia Greenway."
