Reviews
"Awesome food! Chicken was perfect, like genuinely perfect. Each side was uniquely spiced and perfectly cooked. Huge portions and a very cool dining area. I've driven by this place plenty of times and super happy I decided to stop in. Definitely worth a visit."
"I come here sometimes, very inconstant, good foods a 50/50 whether is gonna be good or bad. If you read other reviews they forget to put things you ordered in the bag and then accuse of of stealing an item as if we aren’t paying to run their business. I’ve never ran into more disrespect at an restaurant than this place. Vote with your dollars, I've had enough of this place. Spend your money at Auntie Adrienne on page blvd instead. Better quality food, portions are consistent when you order and you’ll always be met with a smile. They don't skimp you, or accuse you of stealing 4$ items. food is delicious and consistent."
"Who made the potato salad? The 6 piece fried chicken meal came with 6 fling wings...not actual chicken drumsticks and thighs. It also had no seasoning. The greens were canned glory greens with extra salt. The yams were canned. The Mac tasted like baked Kraft or Velveeta. The potato salad was nasty. The Macaroni salad tasted like it was seasoned with ranch dressing and mayo. The rice was stale or undercooked in some areas and mushy in others. The fried whiting was ok, but it's because they used pre-seasoned fish fry. I threw it all out after one bite of each. I was tempted to Report the transaction as fraud because I feel hustled. That's not soulfood. That's Costco. I had better soul food at the Chinese owned spot in East NY. I hate to put a poor review on a small business, but maaaan... that was just bad."
"Ordered the meatloaf with greens and mash. This was phenomenal. It tasted exactly like home. Greens were juicy and not too salty and just a tiny bit spicy and perfect. The mashed potatoes tasted better than mine, and the meatloaf had a tiny bit of ketchup and gravy just enough to taste both and nothing was dry. It is delicious."
"I used to love this place and I have been going for a while now. However, I'm not so sure they are worth it anymore. Small, medium, or large the portions are never consistent when it comes to the fried chicken. I order a medium at 4pm on Friday and I get leg, thigh, breast they hook it up. Then I order a medium on a Thursday night at 7 30pm and I asked for just dark meat if they have it. They gave me ONE small ONE small thigh...when I asked for no breast I didn't think they were going to skimp me on the chicken like that. Not to mention they completely didn't even include the rice and gravy. The place is now closed so I'll have to wait until tomorrow to complain but even then whats going to happen? You going ro give me the rice and chicken you left out? Am I going to get any sort of refund. NO. It honestly feels so underhanded and dishonest. Ran out of rice and chicken so you skimp a loyal customer on his food? Didn't even say anything to me. Man I've had enough of this place. Spend your money at Auntie Adrienne on page blvd instead. Better quality food, portions are consistent when you order a medium or large you always get a medium or large. They don't skimp you either. And their food is delicious and consistent. I paid 30 dollars for two meals. Look what they gave me for one of the meals...ridiculous! Barely any chicken and no rice/gravy."
