"This place is just like the neighborhood Italian place I grew up with. Cloth tablecloths, cloth napkins, adult servers who add to the experience, delicious food, but not pretentious. We stopped here for lunch on day 1 of a 4 day road trip, and we enjoyed it so much we stopped in again on our way home. The food was delicious both times. The eggplant and chicken parm dinners were delicious. The meal came with bread and pasta or salad. The second time, we had grinders, which were also good and huge. If we lived in the area, this would be a regular spot for us."

"My husband and I stopped in tonight on a whim, on our way home to Clinton from Newark, and had an incredible meal. We were skeptical at first because the place was packed, but they found a spot for two, took our order right away. The food arrived quickly, was pipping hot and delicious. I grew up in Norwalk, and I have a lot of found memories coming to Italia with my family when I was a kid. There have been a few updates around the place over the years, but it's still as good as ever. Thank you for great meal!"

"Italia has been around in Norwalk forever. I used to go there in the 1980's. My husband and I recently went in again, and the food was just as delicious as we remembered. We were greeted warmly and seated in the dining area, where our order was taken. Crusty warm Italian bread was served as an appetizer while our food was cooking, and it was delicious. Both of us had lasagna, which was brought to our table within fifteen or twenty minutes. We each had some to take home too."

"Not good service. One older. waiter takes all of the orders. Staff do not speak English. Overhearing a patronage say, “I didn’t get my salad”’while the staff was bringing out their food. Meanwhile, the old waiter is the one telling the staff what to do. He’s distributing the food to the staff. Then the old waiter said it will take 2 hours to just get the salad and it did. Really. We were in there for 2 hours. I asked for penne and got spaghetti. The sauce tasted sweet. That’s not Italian. Not going back there. I think they had to wait on the plates to fill the next orders. Was I in the Twilight Zone?"

"Wonderful service and excellent chicken Parmesan. Frank was our waiter and make sure everything was perfect. Old school perfection."
