Hilton Garden Inn Hartford North/Bradley Int'l Airport 555 Corporate Drive, Windsor, CT 06095

"This was part of a block book for a daughter's sports tournament. Normally I stay at Hampton Inns but one was not available on the block book. Stayed in a room with two double beds. Spacious enough. Came with a real mini refrigerator (vs some hotels putting in glorified electric coolers) which was important as we were able to keep sports drinks and milk and OJ cold. One gripe with Hilton Garden Inns is that they charge for their breakfast buffet, which is the EXACT same fare you get for free at Hampton Inns. We brought our own breakfast fare and ate in the room. The major reason for the two stars on the room is because the showers were more warmish than hot. At first I thought it was because the hotel was booked with tournament families and everyone was showering in the morning. But my daughter showered after her tournament in the afternoon and reported the water was still not up to temp."

"Although the front desk staff (highlighting Frankie) were welcoming and pleasant, the cleanliness of the rooms was totally unacceptable! My first night, after hauling my luggage up to prepare for a 1 week stay, I opened room 601 and was greeted by a stale/unclean smell. To continue my inspection I went to use the bathroom and there was feces left by a previous guest, Insects were flying around behind the curtain!!! there were stains on the walls, the microwave had old food stains in them… please look at the photos. I immediately escalated to the front desk. Housekeeping arrived and appeared to be unfazed that a new guest was greeted by human waste! So I went ahead and informed the young lady about issues, emphasizing the toilet/bathroom. She sprayed bleach on the floor and mopped it but did not clean the toilet! Gross right? The picture taken of the toilet was AFTER housekeeping left!!! That’s not even the end of it, after I took pictures of the insect farm of bugs in the window, maintenance waltz in and says “I don’t see any bugs, there is nothing I can do here.” No sense of urgency or preventative measures taken from both teams. I had enough at this point. I requested a new room which was directly across the hall, 602. Like 601, I was greeted by a stale/unclean smell and the A.C. Unit broken and exposed… at least the bathroom appeared to be cleaner! I stuck it out in 602 despite the dead flies left behind the curtain for the week. Towards the end of my work assignment, my trip was extended for 2 additional weeks. Needless to say, I packed up and took my business elsewhere! It should be illegal to rent unclean rooms to guests. Sicknesses are definitely on the rise these days. There should be no way I feel I needed a tetanus shot upon my early check out! I wish I can rate the front desk staff separately who tried to make my stay as comfortable as possible."

"Great experience at this hotel. Finally a hotel that has restaurant and bar that are open and serve good food. I was able to leave my car at hotel and not move it to a park and fly like other hotels at airport. Shuttle drivers Ralph and Simone had smiles and hellos from my 3am airport run to my pick up early evening."

"This hotel was quiet for a near the airport location. For the age it was as clean as it could be. The pool is gone and the fitness center was in ill repair. The bar had no draft beers and they didn’t have the ingredients for the drinks on the menu. They were also overpriced. There is no sidewalk so you can’t get to the nearest restaurant or bar. The only walkable area is to the hotel across the way or the bus stop."

"I’ve stayed at this hotel several times now and honestly it’s a hotel I usually enjoy staying at. Location is great, staff is super friendly. Unfortunately the quality of the rooms has gone a bit down hill, they look nice but they haven’t been kept up well. My most recent visit, the room had mold on the air vent, the shower was messed up and the TV barely functioned. Disappointed. The restaurant is also nice, but crazy overpriced."
