Clarion Hotel & Suites Hamden-New Haven 2260 Whitney Avenue, Hamden, CT 06518

"Decent one night stay. Booked a queen room and we were upgrade to a king. Light in bathroom was not operational. Bed clean and comfortable. Parking lot shared with adjacent diner but well-lit at night. Location was convenient for visiting a relative at local college. Breakfast options were exceptional!! More than satisfied with this property."

"The hotel is clean and Steve at the desk was very accommodating. The spa & jacuzzi has been out of service for years. They need to take that off of the amenities. The housekeeping didn’t speak any English. The maintenance gentleman in his 40’s (sorry didn’t get his name) was the only one who spoke English and he was very nice. The breakfast is ok, but get there no later than 9:45 because the 2nd day there I was told no more, when I asked about the breakfast. The kitchen woman than proceeded to cook her staff food right in front of me at 9:50. So why was I cut off; that was the first taste of the hotel I got in my mouth. Than she pretended she didn’t understand me. Generally speaking it was basically a motel. As far as noise, everyday was something new. I understand people live here so anything is to be expected; but I saw a lot more than I wanted. It is pet friendly which is a big plus.They need to have more cameras in the building. None were on my wing. The only place I saw was the side door on the 3rd floor and another on 3rd floor facing other way. None in elevators. I was put up at this hotel due to a house fire and am grateful to have had a roof over my head for 47 days there. I would never actually pay the amount of money I saw the Red Cross had to pay. I been in hotels much nicer for the same amount."

"I honestly love this hotel me and my significant other visit atleast 6 times a month. Sadly we will no longer be staying here. We always book online but for some reason this one particular day we book and go to check in the lady tells us we have to pay and extra 150$ and we will get it back when we leave which we didn’t understand because we never had that issue before it says on the sign if your paying cash you had to pay and extra 150$ so we was kind of confused."

"Me with my family had absolutely amazing time at clarion hotel. The rooms were spacious and spotless, with great decor and net bed sheets. The breakfast was delicious, with a huge variety of options! The staff were helpful, respectful, attentive and went out of their way to ensure that we were comfortable. Nothing was trouble. There was nothing disappointing and we will definitely go back."

"Booked this hotel based on proximity to where I needed to be and the pics online told a lie!! The room was dark and gloomy. The door lock broken, the bathroom was filthy. The tissue hold broken and thrown on the sink. The chair in the room was tattered and torn...I checked in and checked out 10mins later. It felt like only something I would see on the movies. I actually offered the room to a homeless person that was sitting in the lobby. Went straight to Marriott"
