The Surfside Hotel 10 Washington Parkway, Stratford, CT 06615

"We had a wonderful winter stay at Surfside. We had a waterfront double queen room that fit our family of 4 perfectly. We all enjoyed dinner at the restaurant on site - little pub, and brought many warm layers for the 3 mile round trip beach walk to the light house. The coffee/tea/hot chocolate/small snacks was a perfect light breakfast that left room for New Haven’s frank Pepe’s for lunch. Highly recommend for the perfect spot for a winter getaway."

"Very nicely appointed and comfortable room. understated but in keeping with the "beach location vibe." Great to stroll over the the Little pub which has great reasonable food and cocktails. "This is the second year in a row we have stayed at the Surfside for Thanksgiving weekend. It really is a gem of hotel. The beds are the most comfortable I have ever experienced in a hotel and everything in the rooms is designed with ease of use in mind from bedside lamps, plugs for electronics and more. If you can get an oceanside room, it is well worth it. The balconies and views are spectacular. Thank you to the staff who made us feel so welcome."

"This place is so fun! The rooms are well-decorated, modern, and comfortable. We have 3 kids so it can be a challenge having enough beds for everyone - but these rooms actually include a comfortable full-sized daybed that really increases your options. I definitely recommend a room with a balcony, if you can. There’s great beach access no matter what room you choose, but you just can’t beat the luxury of stepping right out onto a patio overlooking the ocean any time you feel like it. The little beach is sandy and relatively sheltered with rocky seawalls to climb on and plenty of seating options. The restaurant & bar are also awesome - rather than dine-in, we had drinks at the outdoor bar and ordered take-out to have in our rooms. It was the perfect low-key option for the day we’d had, and it’s so great to have all the choices right there on site. We could have packed our meal out onto beach loungers, or gathered at an indoor table overlooking the water. In the morning, the coffee lounge with fruit and pastries was a quick and convenient way for us to get back on the road."

"Very nice location. Room 22 was very nice, the beds are very comfortable. The balcony has a nice view, but no privacy. The TV was difficult to use, there was a direct TV remote but we couldn’t figure out how to use it, we did find a button that worked to get a few shows, so we didn’t bother asking the front desk how to make it work. The hotel has a little gym with 2 bikes, free weights and some yoga equipment. There are water dispensers in a few different locations throughout the hotel to fill water bottles. The coffee room had apples and granola bars. There was also a small freezer with bags of ice. The beach was nice, the hotel offered 6 beach lounge chairs and some other beach chairs, as well as, a few paddle boards and a kayak. The rates are a little pricey. There is a nice little restaurant attached to the hotel and another about a 2 minute walk away. There’s also a corner store and pizza shop about a 4 minute Drive away. There’s an adorable gift shop, Mellow Monkey, about 10 minutes away, save time to check it out, it’s a really cool store."
