Welcome to VetSouth Balclutha, located at 34 Essex Street in Balclutha, New Zealand. Our institution is not just an establishment or a point of interest, but a trusted veterinary care provider for the local community.

With a rich history, our clinic was originally the old Balmoral Presbyterian Church. In 2012, it was converted into Balmoral Vets, a small animal clinic. However, recognizing the need to better serve our large animal clients, VetSouth began sharing the clinic space in 2017.

Since 2010, VetSouth Balclutha has been dedicated to working with dairy and sheep and beef operations in the stunning South Otago region. Over the years, we have steadily grown our presence and now boast a fully functioning large animal clinic. Our team consists of multiple locally-based veterinarians and technicians who are committed to providing top-notch care.

In June 2021, VetSouth further strengthened its support for South Otago's communities by integrating Balmoral Vets. This merger has allowed us to combine forces and offer a comprehensive range of services to both our production and companion animal clients in the Clutha region.

At VetSouth Balclutha, we understand the importance of community connection. Our local owners and veterinarians, Dan and Sarah Cragg, have deep ties to the area. Dan serves as the clinical lead for large animals, while Suzanne Craig from Balmoral Vets remains the clinical lead for small animals in our clinic.

When it comes to your pets, we have you covered. VetSouth Balclutha offers an extensive range of products and services, ensuring the well-being of your beloved companions. Additionally, we have an onsite cattery, providing a comfortable and safe environment for your feline friends.
