Welcome to Cloudbase Paragliding NZ - Paragliding School Christchurch, located at 18 Delta Way in Christchurch, New Zealand. We are an establishment that offers paragliding instruction and are considered a point of interest in the area. Our institution is like a school or university, where individuals can come to learn and experience the thrill of paragliding.
Join us for our 2-day full instruction course in our local thermal playground. Dates for this course will be announced soon, so stay tuned and get excited! At Cloudbase Paragliding School, you will be taught by experienced instructors who are passionate about the sport. Grey, our lead instructor, has been flying since 1993 and has been instructing for 23 years. With his extensive background in teaching and love for paragliding, Grey combined both passions to open our school. He has had many adventures flying all over the world, from the highest mountains in Pakistan to the flatlands of New Zealand, and has countless experiences and stories to share with our students.
We are also proud to have Ondra on our team, a dedicated paragliding pilot who loves volbiv (flying and camping) in the mountains. He has competed in the NZ Paragliding Nationals and consistently ranks in the top ten. Ondra also teaches paragliding on the hill to our Cloudbase Paragliding students. As the Canterbury Paragliding sites officer, his expertise and knowledge are invaluable to our institution.
Jean is another skilled pilot who brings years of flying experience to our team. He specializes in cross country flying and is the guru of the Canterbury Hike and Fly group here in Christchurch. Jean has achieved notable flights from the Port Hills through to Akaroa and has also embarked on vol biv adventures throughout the South Island. His impressive flying experiences around the world make him a valuable asset to our team.
In our school, we stock a selection of paragliding equipment from brands that we truly believe in. We are proud to be stockists for these brands and offer a range of harnesses and other gear. Additionally, we offer package deals for those looking to purchase a new wing, harness, and reserve parachute, with prices starting from $6550. As an added incentive, if you purchase a package deal, we will provide a $160 discount on your PG2 course.
