Welcome to Busy C's Preschool, located at 16 Winchester Street in Lyttelton, New Zealand. We are an establishment that is not only a point of interest but also a school, providing a nurturing and educational environment for children.

At Busy C's, we pride ourselves on being an Enviro-preschool, where we prioritize a connection to and respect for the environment through sustainable practices. Our philosophy is centered around whanaungatanga, which promotes positive and collaborative relationships between children, families, teachers, and the wider community.

We believe in manaakitanga, which means providing a welcoming, caring, and nurturing environment that treats everyone with respect and dignity. We also respect tikanga and are committed to the future of te reo Māori as a living language of Aotearoa NZ.

Our approach to learning is through child-led, play-based activities, supported by our team of 100% qualified teachers. We believe that all children are capable, confident, and competent learners, and we encourage their enquiring minds to flourish.

For children aged 3 months to two years, we have a dedicated Under Two area with experienced and qualified teachers who provide a nurturing and safe environment for your little ones to explore and grow. With a higher teacher-to-child ratio, we can meet the specific needs of each child, including individual sleeping and eating requirements.

In our Over Two area, we cater to children aged 2 to 6, providing the next step in their learning journey. Our qualified and experienced teachers support and inspire learning and development through a child-led, play-based philosophy, based on the Early Childhood Curriculum Te Whāriki. The larger spaces in this area allow your child the freedom to grow and develop, while achieving the learning outcomes that will set them up for life.
