Welcome to Landsdowne Terrace Playcentre, located in Christchurch, New Zealand. At Landsdowne Terrace Playcentre, we offer a unique early childhood education experience where both children and their parents or caregivers attend together.

Our Playcentre provides a fun and safe environment for children to learn and explore. We believe in nurturing the curiosity and creativity of our tamariki (children) so they can learn about themselves and the world around them. Here, your child will have the opportunity to engage in a wide range of activities such as exploring, creating, climbing, reading, singing, experimenting, playing music, dressing up, face painting, gardening, carpentry, baking, cooking, building sandcastles, swinging, sliding, dancing, spending time in nature, and getting messy.

Each day brings new and exciting activities for your child to enjoy. Our Playcentre parents bring their unique skills, interests, and cultural backgrounds, enriching the learning environment for everyone. We welcome families with children aged 0 to 6 years, promoting mixed-age play where children can interact with peers older and younger than themselves. This fosters important skills such as communication, sharing, and empathy towards younger peers.

At Landsdowne Terrace Playcentre, families come together, forming lifelong friendships. We encourage you to visit us any time throughout the year. You are entitled to three free visits to experience firsthand what we do. We would love to meet you and your family!
