Welcome to Learn Active! Located in the beautiful city of Christchurch, on Cashmere Road, our institution is a point of interest that offers a unique and enriching experience for individuals with intellectual disabilities.

At Learn Active, we are proud to be a registered charity dedicated to providing outdoor education opportunities for individuals aged 15 and above. Our goal is to create a compassionate and supportive environment where people with intellectual disabilities can develop personal and interpersonal skills through regular outdoor activities.

We offer three comprehensive programs throughout the year, each designed to cater to different interests and abilities. Our term program, Active Discoveries, provides a range of outdoor activities and skill-building sessions for participants to engage in. From hiking and camping to team-building exercises, this program offers a diverse range of experiences.

During school holidays, we run our Active Holidays program, which offers a variety of exciting outdoor activities for individuals to enjoy during their break. This program allows participants to explore new places, try new activities, and create lasting memories with their peers.

For those who prefer a more sensory-based experience, we offer Active Immersion. This program focuses on engaging the senses through outdoor activities, allowing participants to fully immerse themselves in their surroundings and develop a deeper connection with nature.
