"Incredible long wait claiming lack of staff. But when you look at their vacancies they don't seem to be recruiting. Less staff same amount of patients more profit."
"What a lovely place. The lady at reception was extremely warm and friendly and radiated happiness. She was singing away behind the desk. The nurse who took my bloods was also really warm and friendly, and she was so fast at her job, very professional and pain free."
"Had to go to Tauranga Hospital Pathlab this morning. The woman in reception was just awesome. She was so respectful and helpful to everyone regardless of who they were. The phlebotomist was great. She really put me at ease and was so friendly . Can't speak highly enough of the staff."
"I went here on the 22nd Feb for a blood test. I have an aversion to needles as I have had some pretty bad experiences. I informed my nurse, who promptly rolled her eyes and said 'you girls' - I am 40, so not sure I qualify as a 'girl' but anyway...I tried again and said I was afraid of needles, she mumbled something, so I said I had had a bad experience. She didn't care, was rough as guts and I have a huge bruise to show for it. Terrible to be treated like this, I don't like acknowledging my fear and to be basically mocked with little sympathy is just plain shi**y."
"Receptionist was rude. Went there as per instruction of our GP for our son to have a swab test coz he has a cough and fever. When I entered, I greeted her and started informing that we have an appointment, she cut me off and told to stay outside thrice (me and 2 sons wore face masks). Her voice was a bit loud and it was embarrassing because the patients in the waiting area stared at us (like we have this deadly disease/confirmed covid). However, the nurse (Rona) who attended my son was very kind and nice. She even asked my other son to sit in the waiting area but I told her no as the receptionist asked us to stay outside. Anyhow, I understand that due to COVID every one is too scared and cautious but the receptionist could have told us in a nice way. BTW, this is my son's 3rd time to have a swab test (every time they have cough, GP would recommend swab test to eliminate the doubt of COVID) and we have never been treated like this in another clinic."
