While we appreciate the support of having a companion during your examination, we strongly encourage patients to attend appointments alone whenever possible, to prioritize the safety of all. If a support person is necessary, only one (including children) is allowed, provided they are well and wearing a mask.

To ensure the utmost safety of our staff and patients, individuals showing any symptoms of COVID-19 will not be allowed to enter our building. If you have recently undergone a COVID test and are awaiting results, please notify us immediately so we can make necessary arrangements.

As part of our commitment to safety, all contractors entering our facilities must be fully vaccinated, wear face coverings, and use the COVID Tracer App for contact tracing. Please have your vaccine pass ready for verification upon arrival.

At Bay Radiology, we offer a wide range of imaging services. Our sophisticated software and sound waves allow us to demonstrate the skeletal system and some soft tissues. We utilize magnetic resonance imaging to provide detailed images of internal organs, bones, and soft tissues. Additionally, our state-of-the-art computer software and x-rays enable us to capture cross-sectional images of the body.

We also specialize in sophisticated pregnancy (obstetric) ultrasound examinations, CT colonography for the large bowel, injections performed under ultrasound or CT guidance, and real-time moving x-ray images.

Moreover, we are proud providers of the BreastScreen Aotearoa service in the Bay of Plenty with TRG (Rotorua). Our ultrasound machines are capable of displaying heart valves, heart chamber sizes, and the heart muscle itself.
