Our Lady of Victories Catholic Primary School

Welcome to Our Lady of Victories Catholic Primary School, located at Christchurch on Main South Road. As an establishment and point of interest, we are proud to be a dedicated primary school that provides a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for our students.

At Our Lady of Victories, we prioritize a learning-centered approach, where children are taught to respect God, others, and the environment every day. Our students are encouraged to be actively involved learners, critical thinkers, effective communicators, and responsible self-managers, all while striving for excellence in all aspects of their education.

One of our primary aims is to foster a personal faith in Christ within our students. We work closely with our local parish, Our Lady of Victories, as well as the Catholic Education Office to ensure a strong connection between our school and the wider Catholic community.

Last Friday, we had the pleasure of hosting our school's Athletics day. Our tamariki (children) had been working diligently over the past three weeks, practicing and preparing for the various events. It was a day filled with excitement, friendly competition, and the celebration of our students' physical abilities.

In addition to our academic and athletic pursuits, we believe in celebrating and embracing cultural diversity. Recently, we celebrated Mercy Day with a spectacular showcase of cultural dances. It was a joyous occasion where our students proudly wore their cultural dress, showcasing the rich tapestry of traditions that make up our school community.

For your convenience, we have provided the term dates for the year 2023. Term 1 will run from Monday, January 31st to Thursday, April 6th. Term 2 will commence on Monday, April 24th and conclude on Friday, June 30th. Term 3 will begin on Monday, July 17th and end on Friday, September 22nd. Finally, Term 4 will start on Monday, October 9th and finish on Friday, December 15th.
