Welcome to Bethlehem Birthing Centre, located at Tauranga, Te Paeroa Road, 1, in beautiful New Zealand. Our establishment is a health-focused point of interest that provides exceptional care to expectant mothers.

At Bethlehem Birthing Centre, we believe that every woman deserves a safe and nurturing environment to bring their baby into the world. That's why our primary birthing service is free for all women who are eligible for care in New Zealand hospitals and have low-risk pregnancies.

Our facilities are designed specifically for low-risk births without intervention, ensuring a calm and supportive atmosphere for mothers. Each of our rooms is equipped with ensuite bathrooms, including a water birthing facility for those who prefer this method.

We understand the importance of the first days with your newborn, which is why we provide extensive post-natal care and support with breastfeeding. Our dedicated team is here to guide and empower you throughout your birthing journey, working in partnership with your family to create an informed, active, and natural birthing experience.

To ensure the safety of our staff, mothers, babies, and visitors, we have implemented necessary measures in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. As of December 3rd, 2021, we are operating under the guidelines of the COVID-19 Protection Framework, also known as the 'Traffic Light Settings.' These settings determine the level of restrictions within our services based on the region's status (Red, Orange, or Green).

Rest assured that all our staff are vaccinated and will fulfill the vaccine mandate requirements by January 1st, 2022. While vaccine passports are required for all visitors from December 15th, pregnant and birthing women, along with their nominated support person, are exempt from this requirement. However, mask-wearing remains mandatory in all common areas for everyone's safety.

Please note that our existing restrictions will be updated to align with the Traffic Light System by December 10th, ensuring the utmost protection for everyone at our centre. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by these measures but prioritize the safety of mothers, newborns, and our team during these challenging times.

We are thrilled to announce that Bethlehem Birthing Centre is easing COVID-related restrictions, providing an even more welcoming and secure environment for you and your baby.
