Welcome to the Breast Cancer Support Service Tauranga Trust, located in the beautiful city of Tauranga, New Zealand. Established in 1991, our local independent charitable trust is dedicated to providing support and assistance to individuals facing a breast cancer diagnosis.

At Breast Cancer Support Service Tauranga Trust, our mission is simple: to provide emotional support and practical assistance to those newly diagnosed with breast cancer. We operate on the principle of survivors supporting one another, ensuring that no one faces their breast cancer journey alone.

Covering the Western Bay of Plenty region, from Waihi Beach to Maketu, we see approximately 160 newly diagnosed individuals each year. Whether you are awaiting the results of a diagnostic test or have already received a breast cancer diagnosis, our team of dedicated Support Workers is here for you.

We understand that receiving a breast cancer diagnosis can be overwhelming and emotionally challenging. That's why we offer one-on-one, culturally sensitive, and confidential support. Our Support Workers have personal experience with breast cancer and can provide you with the guidance, information, and reassurance you need during this difficult time.

Connecting with others who have been through a similar experience can be incredibly beneficial. Many individuals diagnosed with breast cancer find comfort in speaking with someone who truly understands what they are going through. By connecting with our support network, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable insights, share your thoughts and concerns, and find strength in the knowledge that you are not alone.

Research has shown that individuals who receive support have a faster and better recovery rate. Our ultimate goal is to enhance the wellbeing, safety, and quality of life for those with a breast cancer diagnosis and their whānau (family). We want to ensure that no one feels socially isolated but rather connected and engaged within a supportive community.
