Welcome to Canterbury College, an English Language School located in Christchurch, New Zealand. Established in 1988, we pride ourselves on providing education of the highest quality in a supportive and professional environment.

At Canterbury College, we offer a range of programs to cater to different English language needs. Our NZCEL (Level 3 Applied) and NZCEL (Level 4 Academic) courses are designed to help students improve their English language skills for both practical and academic purposes. Additionally, our Intensive Numeracy & Literacy ILN-ESOL program is funded by TEC, ensuring that students receive comprehensive support in these areas.

Unlike written tests where you have time to carefully formulate your thoughts, speaking requires quick thinking and fluency. Another common difficulty faced by English language learners is mastering articles. Unlike in languages such as Russian, where the interlocutor can change the articles based on context, English articles follow specific rules. Our specially designed curriculum and engaging lessons aim to make learning articles easier and more intuitive for our students.
