Welcome to Living on Purpose Counselling, located at Tauranga, State Highway 2, 235 in New Zealand. We are an establishment focused on providing health services and are a point of interest for those seeking professional counselling.

At Living on Purpose Counselling, we address a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, grief, anger, and relationships/couples. We also have a particular interest in working with men dealing with sexual addiction. Our goal is to help individuals engage in life in a way that allows them to pursue their dreams, feel comfortable in their own skin, and live intentionally.

Our counselling approach is based on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Narrative Therapy, with a strong emphasis on a Client Centred approach. This means that your views, thoughts, and opinions play a significant role in determining the direction of your counselling journey.

Our founder, Mike, originally from Auckland, now resides in the beautiful Bay of Plenty with his wife and family. With a background in the Engineering industry, Mike brings a practical and logical mindset to his counselling work, which proves to be a strength in helping clients navigate their challenges.

Sessions at Living on Purpose Counselling are booked on an hourly basis, with a cost of $135.00 incl GST for individuals and $150.00 for couples. However, we understand that cost can be a barrier for some, and we are open to discussing possible options to work around this. Payment can be made via bank transfer or cash, as we do not have EFTPOS facilities available.

If for any reason you are unable to make a session, we kindly request a minimum of 24 hours notice. Failure to provide sufficient notice may result in a cancellation fee, although exceptions may be made in exceptional circumstances.

We typically book sessions for an hour, so punctuality is appreciated to ensure you receive your full session time.
