Belfast Playcentre

Welcome to Belfast Playcentre, located on Main North Road in Christchurch, New Zealand. As an establishment and point of interest, we provide a unique early childhood education experience that involves both children and their parents/caregivers.

At Belfast Playcentre, children have the opportunity to learn and explore in a fun and safe environment. We believe in nurturing the curiosity and creativity of our tamariki (children) in a way that allows them to learn about themselves and the world around them.

Your child will have the chance to engage in a wide range of activities, including exploring, creating, climbing, reading, singing, experimenting, playing music, wearing costumes, face painting (or doing it themselves!), gardening, carpentry with real tools, baking and cooking, building sandcastles, swinging, sliding, dancing, spending time in nature, and getting messy.

Every day brings new and exciting activities for your child to enjoy. Our Playcentre parents bring a diverse range of skills, interests, and cultural backgrounds, creating a rich learning environment for all. We welcome families with children aged 0 to 6 years, as mixed-age play allows for interaction with peers of different ages.

Through play, preschoolers learn important skills such as communication, sharing, and negotiation, while also developing empathy towards their younger peers. At Belfast Playcentre, families come together and lifelong friendships are formed.

We invite you to visit us at any time throughout the year. You are entitled to three free visits, so come and see firsthand what we have to offer. We would love to meet you and your family!
