Howick Intermediate School

Welcome to Howick Intermediate School, located at 15 Botany Road in Auckland, New Zealand. Our school is an establishment and point of interest that serves as a hub for learning and personal growth for our students.

At Howick Intermediate, we prioritize recognizing and celebrating the outstanding achievements of our students. Recently, we held a special morning tea for families who are new to New Zealand, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for everyone.

We also take pride in our students' participation in various competitions and events. Our team of ten girls recently competed against other intermediate schools at Lloyd Elsmore, showcasing their skills and sportsmanship. Additionally, 25 enthusiastic and excited students represented our school at the SEZ Rugby Competition at Bell Park. With a passion for the game and excellent tackling techniques, our boys and girls performed admirably, gaining confidence and growing as individuals throughout the competition.

Our commitment to extracurricular activities extends beyond sports. Our chess team recently participated in an exciting and challenging chess tournament at BBI, joining nearly 200 college and intermediate students in a battle of strategic thinking.

Term dates for the year are as follows: Term 1 begins on February 1st for Year 8 students and February 2nd for all students, running until April 6th. Term 2 spans from April 26th to June 30th, Term 3 from July 17th to September 22nd, and Term 4 from October 9th to December 15th.
