Welcome to Maraetai Beachlands Kindergarten, a vibrant and nurturing learning institution situated at 39a Craig Road in Maraetai, New Zealand. As an establishment that focuses on children's strengths, interests, and abilities, we strive to provide meaningful experiences that motivate and inspire our young learners both within our kindergarten and in the wider world.

At Maraetai Beachlands, we firmly believe in working in partnership with children and their parents/whānau. We highly value the input, knowledge, and cultural diversity that our parents bring to our community, as it enriches the learning environment and fosters a strong sense of belonging.

One of the outstanding features of our kindergarten is the presence of beautiful pohutukawa trees, which not only provide shade but also offer unique learning opportunities. Our dedicated team of early childhood qualified and registered teachers, including a head teacher, are passionate about providing high-quality education. Together with our support staff, they create a safe and inclusive environment where children can thrive.

Our learning programs are based on the New Zealand Early Childhood Curriculum, Te Whāriki, ensuring a holistic approach to education. At Maraetai Beachlands Kindergarten, we are fortunate to have a team of 5 permanent staff members who are friendly, dedicated, and committed to creating a wonderful learning experience for your children.

We strongly believe in the importance of listening to children and respecting their individual knowledge and experiences. Our teachers actively engage with children, offering a wide range of purposeful experiences that encourage active participation and self-selection of activities.

Our kindergarten operates from Monday to Friday, from 8.45 am to 2.45 pm, while our office hours are from 8 am to 4.45 pm. Please note that we are closed during term breaks and public holidays.
