Papakura Playcentre

Welcome to Papakura Playcentre! Located in Auckland, on Opaheke Road, our Playcentre offers a unique early childhood education experience for both children and their parents or caregivers.

At Papakura Playcentre, children have the opportunity to learn and explore in a fun and safe environment. We believe in nurturing the curiosity and creativity of our tamariki (children) in a way that allows them to learn about themselves and the world around them.

Your child will have the chance to engage in a wide range of activities, including exploring, creating, climbing, reading, singing, experimenting, playing music, dressing up in costumes, face painting, gardening, carpentry with real tools, baking and cooking, building sandcastles, swinging, sliding, dancing, spending time in nature, and getting messy. Our activities change every day, providing new and exciting experiences for your child.

One of the unique aspects of Playcentre is the involvement of parents and caregivers. Playcentre parents bring their own skills, interests, and cultural backgrounds, creating a rich and diverse learning environment for all children. We welcome families with children aged 0 to 6 years, and our mixed-age play allows children to engage with others older and younger than themselves. This helps them learn important social skills such as communication, sharing, and negotiating with empathy for their younger peers.

At Papakura Playcentre, families come together and lifelong friendships are formed. We encourage you to visit us at any time during the year. You are entitled to three free visits, so come and check out what we do – we would love to meet you and your family!
