Welcome to Highland Park Kindergarten, located at 563 Pakuranga Road, Auckland. As an establishment and point of interest, we are proud to offer a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for children aged 2 to 6 years old.

At Highland Park Kindergarten, we believe in the importance of relationships, diversity, and inclusiveness. We celebrate and incorporate the different cultures of our tamariki (children) and encourage our extended whānau (family) to contribute to our program. We value each child's unique learning journey and strive to create a sense of belonging for all.

Te Ao Māori, the Māori world, holds a special place in our practice, program, and continuing professional development. We acknowledge Māori as tangata whenua (people of the land) of Aotearoa New Zealand and ensure their culture is reflected in our daily activities.

Our mixed age setting allows siblings to attend kindergarten together, fostering a strong sense of belonging and providing unique leadership opportunities for our children. Families appreciate the 20 hours of Early Childhood Education (ECE) funding from the age of 2, and many acknowledge the depth of relationships formed during their children's potential three-year journey at Highland Park Kindergarten. We have been recognized for successfully integrating two-year-olds into our high-functioning mixed age setting.

Our curriculum is designed to cater to the needs of children aged 2 to 6 years old. We are passionate about honoring the mana (prestige) of all children and provide a large, green, and spacious environment that inspires and promotes learning. We have strong connections to our local community and offer weekly dance sessions with a professional dance teacher, monthly visits from the mobile library bus, and various special guests and experts who contribute to our program. Our children are encouraged to take the lead, investigate, and research their ideas in partnership with teachers, whānau, and the community.

Kindness is at the heart of our culture, and we believe it is magical. We strive to teach character, compassion, kindness, diligence, sacrifice, and responsibility.

Preparing children for school is a priority at Highland Park Kindergarten. From the moment your child starts with us, we support them on their journey towards school readiness. We have strong relationships with many local schools, ensuring a smooth transition for our children.

Our kindergarten hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 2:30 pm, and our office hours are Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4:45 pm. We are closed during term breaks and public holidays.
