The name Kumgang translates to "Diamond," symbolizing hardness and strength. The Kumgang warrior represents the mightiest warrior, and Mt. Kumgang is revered as the center of the Korean national spirit.

Taekwondo, loosely translated as "the way of the foot and fist," has a rich history dating back thousands of years. Over the past 60 years, it has gained immense popularity and is now practiced by over 50 million people in more than 150 countries worldwide.

At Kumgang Taekwondo, our training encompasses a wide range of hand and foot techniques, forming the foundation of Poomsae (forms), Kyorugi (sparring), Hoshinsul (self-defense), and Kyokpa (breaking) exercises. Through these practices, students develop discipline, focus, and physical fitness.

We instill the following tenets as part of taekwondo training: courage, courtesy, etiquette, indomitable spirit, integrity, modesty, perseverance, respect and self-control, honesty, loyalty, and gratitude. These values are not only vital in martial arts but also in shaping well-rounded individuals.
