About the Business
Welcome to Manurewa Central School, a primary school located in Auckland, New Zealand. Our institution is dedicated to providing a nurturing and inclusive environment where our tamariki (children) can thrive and reach their full potential.
At Manurewa Central School, we believe in inspiring our students to dream big. We encourage them to set ambitious goals and support them in achieving those dreams. Our dedicated team of teachers are committed to providing a quality education that prepares our students for the future.
We value the diversity of our students, their backgrounds, and their wider world. We believe that by embracing and celebrating our differences, we create a rich and vibrant learning environment where everyone feels valued and included.
Our vision is to shape the future by empowering our students to become confident and resilient individuals. We instill in them a belief in themselves and encourage them to take pride in their achievements, both big and small.
As global citizens, we strive to connect our students with the wider world. We believe in fostering a sense of global awareness and responsibility, encouraging our students to understand and appreciate different cultures and perspectives.
At Manurewa Central School, we understand the importance of lifelong learning. We equip our students with the courage, perseverance, and resilience to become lifelong learners. We believe that learning is a journey that continues beyond the classroom and throughout their lives.
In addition to our commitment to academic excellence, we also offer a range of extracurricular activities to enrich our students' experience. One such program is the junior fun sticks program, offered in collaboration with the Southern Districts Hockey Club.
The junior fun sticks program caters to players aged 5-7 years and provides them with an opportunity to develop their hockey skills in a fun and supportive environment. We are excited to announce that this program will be expanded to Manurewa, allowing our students to play locally.
The programs will be hosted at the Manurewa Central School turf on Saturday mornings, providing a convenient and accessible option for our students to participate in hockey and engage in physical activity.
We invite you to explore our website and learn more about Manurewa Central School. Join us in shaping the future and empowering our tamariki to become confident, global citizens who believe in themselves and their ability to make a difference.

"They should provide table and chairs for kids atleast coz 6 hours of learning at school sitting whole day on cross legs on floor is not good for kids health like back n neck. Standards of Indian schools are better than here. I felt so bad when I saw kids sitting on the floor whole day . Please take this matter seriously for small kids."
"Best school ever!!! 1st and 2nd child have been to this school. 3rd on the way. Highly recommended to all. Have had no problems whatsoever."
"Used to walk from Orams Rd every school day in the 1950s often barefoot, not a care in the world. Great memories. One teacher had a strap he called Mister Plonk. He would get it out and tell us stories about it’s world travels, where it had been and how sorry it felt after being used. Sure got our attention can’t think if he ever used it while we were in his class. Imagine it today......."
