Welcome to Smart Start Montessori Preschools, a vibrant and nurturing institution located at 99 Grange Road, Mt Eden, Auckland. At Smart Start Montessori, we invite you to be part of something special. Our inclusive preschool follows the holistic principles of Maria Montessori and Te Whariki, New Zealand's early childhood curriculum. We provide a warm and welcoming environment for children aged 2 to 6 years old, where they can develop a love for learning through individualized, tailor-made educational experiences.
Our journey began over 35 years ago in Elizabeth Abbott's living room, and since then, we have grown into a modern purpose-built early childhood center. Our center operates a full-day specialized preschool program from 9am to 4pm, with options for before care (8.30am-9am) and aftercare (4pm-5pm). Licensed for 40 children, we have two spacious rooms that accommodate mixed age groups, creating a calm and nurturing learning environment that feels like a home away from home for our tamariki.
To ensure the best learning experience for our children, our dedicated team consists of highly experienced, qualified, and registered Montessori teachers. They create a prepared stable environment that fosters a sense of belonging and provides age-specific materials to support the development of concrete to abstract concepts.
Our holistic program aims to instill a love of learning in each child, guiding them to reach their full potential. We empower our students to become competent and confident learners and communicators for life.
